You did it again. Delivered a peaceful feeling to a tumultuous mind. Naturally, I thank you for that. I told your Mum about failing eyes the other day, and unless the hoped for miracle heads my way, my eyes are set to continue to fade. You know how much seeing things means to everyday people, and so this is disturbing. So you can see what I mean by a tumultuous mind. And the need to have calming influences. As usual, this is just wonderful. Your skies are getting stronger all the time, and are a pleasure to see. I'd like to go along with you fer a walk on that beach, but wait until it's a bit warmer.... But having said that, I'd like to take that walk alone, using the time to think and be free from the constraints of daily life. Beside which, my company wouldn't be the best.. LOL Thanks again for sharing Morgaine. TTFN
You two are like the Bob Ross's of watercolors. It was always a staple of mine to watch his shows. And like you two ,in the beginning stages I'm thinking what the heck....but in the end you pull it together and produce absolute works of art. There were many many times I thought what Bob was slapping down on the canvas was a disaster, until low and behold...a masterpiece. I'm not kidding, you two are awesome 👏.
Dear morgaine, this is a lovely scene and the cloud formations are spot on. The pink really works surprisingly well with the darker colours. Love that you added the little dog as I lost my beautiful little boy recently and he loved his walks on the beach and sand between his paws , although he wasn't keen on the sea 😂 Thank you for showing 😊
Well done Lois. You have improved tremendously since the last time I saw your painting. Please give my regards to your mom who has inspired me many times.
Certainly I can, Permanent Rose from Windsor & Newton Cotman range is a great alternative although it is a brighter pink so will require more watering down to create softer hues. I also recommend Alizarin Crimson Hue from W&N Cotman, mixed with a touch of ultramarine it’s a real delight for painting these soft dusk scenes. Enjoy experimenting, and thank you! 💖😁
