My Dad has a restaurant on Sullivan st. and I've seen your Morgan in the neighborhood while in town visiting. It stands out like crazy among all the black Camry's and cabs. Love it
I bought a Campagna T-Rex.Powered by a 1000cc BMW motorcycle engine, Fast & Expensive. I had a Polaris Slingshot before the Campagna. Drove the Morgan & Vanderhall too. The Vanderhall Venice is great for $30 grand. Front wheel drive, turbo charged GM 4cyl.
@@verygood7155 You got yourself a great machine. I've read that in 2020, Vanderhall has added more width to their rides. I really like them and wish Vanderhall success. I'm looking at a Vanderhall Blackjack for $24 grand since the T-Rex is gone. I can fully envision myself doing a full on cross country road trip from Washington to Maine in a Vanderhall. I've spoken to a few former Morgan owners and they were glad to have gotten rid of them. Overpriced in my opinion.
This is the single greatest M3W video ever, and there are a lot out there! Glad you're still having fun with it. This has absolutely convinced me (mostly because of the shoddy build quality) that I'm going to build my own as a project. Thinking of buying a crashed Ducati motor on eBay and building a Bucati three wheeler! Thanks for the inspiration.
I hope you ended up purchasing an entire bike so that you got the wiring harness. The engine mounts, gauges and other misc bits and pieces can save a lot of drama as well
Alex, you are the living embodiment of Mr.Toad from Wind in the Willows. All you need to do is go "toot, toot", and you are done. Keep up the happiness!
Mate, you are the best entertainer among the car presenters and the best presenter among the entertainers. You have the charisma to deliver the information brilliantly. I enjoyed this review a lot! Keep up the good job!
Most places, a three wheel vehicle is a motorcycle. Check your local laws. RU-vid video: MC Commute: 2017 Ural Gear-Up Sidecar RU-vid video: 2020 Ural GearUp Sidecar Motorcycle 2WD
I live in the UK and have a 3 wheel Morgan, mine has the British RAF livery and looks like a ww2 fighter but without the wings, it’s noisy, you feel every bump, but everyone loves it !
I have a couple of Morgan's that I look after a plus 4 and a 4/4, they always bring a smile! Taking them for a test drive after maintenance always a joy. I built a triking with a Moto Guzzi engine twenty five years ago and it still going strong, new owner drives it everywhere. Last time I checked it had over 125000 miles on the clock! The alloy bodywork now very patinated but still gorgeous. Now want it back but no chance of prising away from owner. Maybe time to build another........
as an automotive electrician, solving your tacho problem is quite simple, probably the positive wire that feeds it ia coming from the emerngency light switch, just get it from the ignition switch and you are good to go, no more blinking lights to se the revs
Cobble-Stone streets. And a Morgan 3. Lancaster Bomber dashboard dials. S+S V-twin. Built in a shed in England. CHAMPION. Buy loads of bungee straps, a water-proof suit-case and a TEARDROP caravan. 2 burner propane stove, small porta-potty. Buy a load of noodles and a few aged steaks. Go, just go Get another pair of goggles for your dog. Sell everything, have a blast in Arizona or North Yorkshire. Fishing rod and an air rifle.
Honestly I’ve never ridden in any car that sparks as much joy with everyone as a Morgan. My entire life my grandparents owned a 4/4 and no matter where you went, people would always wave and smile around you. Even when it’s parked, crowds will gather and ask about the car. And different to other cars, people aren’t dickheads or jealous- everyone just has a great time experiencing the cars with you. So basically a Morgan can’t ever be a bad car, cause it’s a Morgan.
Today I took my Morgan 3 wheeler on a short 3 mile journey, I got 2 cars hooting at me, 2 car drivers at the lights saying how they loved the car, and around 5 passers- by who smiled and gave a thumbs up. It's the friendliest car I have ever owned.
Superb, you should also try a Caterham, same jackets scarves and supercool fashion, but with one more wheel...I mean...imagine how good the brakes are !!!!!.. the gauges are the same British efficiency, and you literally stay alive in it through sheer willpower !!!!!
This made me go back to Jay Lenos original video I had seen a while ago and this quote was hilarious. "The nice thing is if you have an accident they just bury you in the whole car."
ALEEX...Team Polizei all the way! Loved you mucking around on Gumball in the M5!! Awesome dude, awesome car! Greets from Germany. "Arretez la moteur!" :-)
absolutely love it!. Love to drive it across the State just Once...watched your TransC trip it was awesome. like it better than other 3 Wheelers I see blasting past in fast lane.. cool little crusier. Glen
Every single cabbie and other driver HAS to have a look at this as they pass by. Lambos, Ferraris etc. would get a passing glance...maybe. This thing brings a smile to peoples face. It's a bargain! Shame I don't have any money. Write me into your will Alex.
The Suzuki Jimny has a rival for both awesome fun and ultimate discomfort. Perhaps the fun is what provides the buyers that cause both death traps to continue selling well.
It is a Light Car successor to the Light Cars of 100 years ago. Tax friendly, 🏍 Harley bike parts and Sidecar reconfigured by the home enthusiast will do it. Triking makes really nice body kits to order - then add the bike parts. Famous mid 20th Century car guy Lawrence Pomeroy would absolutely 💯 totally get your style Roy. I Do CARE Roy, don't stop now. Real journalism not the boilerplate rote of the muttering rotters copycatting official press releases🙃. We & I want to know what it FEELS like
What this clot means is that in America they have not a clue how to maintain a simple vehicle such as the Morgan, which by the way has very good handling. The Morgan poses no problems whatsoever to British owners which means the British enthusiast has a broader understanding of basic engineering.
He's an asshole - its that simple. The Morgan isnt badly made, it handles well and I'd not choose an S&S motor if i had a choice. Better to swap it out for any Japanese V -twin. - A Brit.
rogerand out judging a whole nation’s mechanical knowledge based on a 12 minute video where the guy is obviously exaggerating and acting crazy for entertainment? Seems reasonable
@Rogerand Out: LOL. If you want to generalize an entire nation... Here goes! You said, "Brits have a broader understanding of basic engineering". I say, "British have no clue how to maintain proper dental hygiene." Maintenance complexity comes from POOR engineering. To remove the entire front clip from a Mini Cooper to replace an alternator is stupid. In America most can be changed in less than 30 minutes.
This is why I am glad I was born in NY. And even though I left when I was 10... I was still infected with a sufficient amount of sarcasm to somehow keep me (mostly) sane.
@polizei144 Alex, I know you don't want to hear this, but if you throw on an Adjustable Rear Proportioning Valve and dial out rear brake pressure a bit, you can "fix" that spin under braking. Hmm, maybe just put that on the front instead and make it even better!
Cool Video, i just realized that wearing your merch would be illegal in my country as you are not supposed to pretend to be the police and further 144 is the emergency tel number for the ambulance... Oh and PÖL stands for Pflanzelöl which means vegetableoil used as fuel. (which only hapens in old Diesels)
I've been a passenger in one, my uncles. He drove on winding country roads. The only motoring experience that gave me a face full of splattered liquid cow shit. This somewhat halts the feeling of look at me motoring!
You look like the crazy race car driver in wreck it Ralph I forget his name but throughout the resemblance is uncanny when you start doing the comparisons please compare it to 144a and your targa as both of those are very cool cars albeit not as deadly.
So basically it's a WW1 era airplane (which is basically a flying coffin even when not engaged in air to air combat) without wings. Cool, I'll take two of em.
They've been on my LOTTO list for years - but out of all your cars, which has most girls asking for a ride? I'd wager that is something else the Morgan has going for it.
