That's a great video chaps and a perfect summary. The comments about the understeer and it's dislike of rapid changes of direction made me chuckle in agreement. I still try to drive it like it doesn't have those drawbacks and it always wakes me up at the first quick tight bend. It's dynamically compromised but it doesn't half bring a smile to my face and doesn't half get the heart beating when you pile into the first bend of the day with your hair on fire. Mike's comments about it giving you the first sense of freedom from your parents really sums it up. In spite of all the negatives, it's a right laugh and the only car I have that I take out just for the fun of driving. Great stuff chaps. Looking forward to the next one.
That made me cringe. Poor Morgan ! They drove like a pair of... especial the youngster. I just wanted to drive him round that circuit properly ! Mind you I have thrashed the tits of my 2018 model for 11,000 km.So I do know how to drive it. It takes practice. What you do is get your change down done before the corner and rev match with a blat of throttle so that there is no clutch drag, like a bike, use that massive engine as a brake , keep your momentum up, get it sliding and us the gas pedal to steer with. Massive fun on Spanish mountain roads. I am going to need some new tyres soon...
Anyone who buys one of these as a "track car" and wants "driver aids" is missing the point. I,m speaking as an Owner of one ( had any number of Supercars, performance Bikes etc ) and I can genuinely say its the most FUN that you can get without taking all your clothes off!!! And as regards safety features??? Don,t crash or drive like an idiot!
