Morgan Wallen deserves more. He has so many songs that are fire. He is a damn good lyricist. Everyone makes mistakes. Stay strong Morgan!! Your voice,talent and fans got you this far. Can't wait to see how much further you'll go!!!
He writes less than 10% of his songs, how can he be a "damn good lyricist"? Hardy, Eric Church, Ashley Gorely, and Jacob Kasher-Hindlin write 90% of his music!
How did he not win Entertainer of the Year? He's been selling out stadiums weekly this year. Do you really think Lainey Wilson could do that? CMA has no credibility.
Just posted the exact same comment. He's been selling out NFL arenas for multiple nights in the same city for a couple of years now. Lainey Wilson couldn't sell out an NBA arena for a single night. This whole thing is a JOKE! I'm not into all the anti-woke hysteria. But all of the award shows are a JOKE and they ONLY care about ticking off the right DEI boxes and punishing someone that said a single slur three years ago. They awarded artists like Luke Bryan EOTY year after year and his success never reached the heights that Morgan is at right now. Honestly, this should've easily been Morgan's third EOTY win based off his touring success. At this point, he'll be lucky to ever make it out of his career with a single nod for EOTY. Damn, shame.
She may jot have headlined her own tour, but with the past couple of years, she’s managed to do things that Morgan hasn’t. I know everyone loves him, but it’s not like there won’t be other chances down the road…and he handled every loss with grace and positivity. For all we know…he could be the Leo DiCaprio of stars and he’s still young. I liked his album, but I loved Lainie’s and I think she earned it fair and square, not to mention the ratings on her album were better than Morgan’s.
Lainey Wilson has earned each award and BTW she's launching her world wide headliner tour in 2024 ........ stop crying and being jealous. Morgan Wallen showed respect for her win.
Morgan Wallen should have WON. So tired of the snubs. He worked his tail off! Earned it!! Undoubtedly, Lainey did not deserve that award over Morgan, Luke, Carrie, or Miranda!
Of course he deserved to win....Morgan Wallen has fire in his heart for the music. He has fell on some rough times but how he gets those songs out is incredible. That's deep in soul n not alot of ppl can say that. He doesn't need anything but his guitar and to be himself. Yeah mixed here. Morgan is just absolutely dominating country music. But I love Lainey Wilson and it's about damn time she wins awards. She's actually been in Nashville far longer than Morgan Wallen but doesn't get the recognition because she's done it so long on a smaller scale.

Yep Miranda and Carrie never won this on the CMA’s. This was Morgan’s award!! I like Laney and her few hit songs, but come on. I’ll watch a few performances of singers but I won’t watch the CMA’s and help their ratings!!!

Lets be completely honest no need to beat around the bush... After the N word controversy "woke Nashville" which consists of the award bodies decided they were going to make an example out of Morgan unless he got on board. 2020-2022 Morgan is visibly different then 2023-2024 Morgan call it growth or call it being threatened to never win anything again call it what you want, but he's "gotten in line" so to speak and it shows. They made an example out of him. No one involved in country music can make a sound argument for Morgan not being Entertainer of the year for the past three years in a row 2022, 2023, and 2024 he's completely owned this genre in every way since 2020. They said we can't cancel you because the fans are still gonna listen and keep you at #1 for years on end, but we can decide what awards you don't receive and thats what they did.

Congrats Lainey she is very talented, humble, and she is a leader. She is one a few singers that is showing that you don’t have to look down on or step over others (male and female) to get to the top! Her blessings has nothing to do with his and visa versa! It would seem to me that he didn’t win because more people voted for her over all of the other nominees (including in the other four categories she won)… Which probably includes some of the voters displaying fake public outrage!
I think morgan should have won solely from my biased view that he was converted me to a country music lover and tens of thousands of other people around the world.
The Entertainer of the Year Award may be Country Music Association trying to balance the scales somewhat, women are and have been grossly underrepresented in country music and country radio, Lainey is one of eight women to win Entertainer of the Year and the first since 2011 when it was won by Taylor Swift
Crazy to think Carrie and Miranda carrying women's country Music and selling out arena's all over the place for years and they gave it to a newcomer who can't sell out a high school gym.
