I love the part where he basically says that top people in the music industry have said that without Su-metal's voice none of this could happen, and that an ordinary girl who sings would not get very far in a stadium and would not be enough for the amazing music. They said that Su-metal's voice has unique properties.
4:39 Wow, Su-metal once said that if she was to make a pact with the devil, she wouldn't ask to be able to ride a bike, instead she would ask to be able to sing in the Tokyo Dome...So Mori-Sensei felt that he was watching her fulfill her dream.
They are I would imagine like little nieces to him. He does not live with them constantly like a parent would but would see them enough as a close relative. Its a love that grows from a family atmosphere I think and SG was just that.
so many layers to the babymetal story. when i watch mori-sensei in sakura gakuin videos he reminds me of all the wacky actors in japanese monster movies. he's so animated and funny, without even knowing what he's saying i find him amusing. the girls were very lucky to have him as a teacher.
I hope that Mori-Sensei confessing that he has nothing left to teach the girls got them feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. This was a great clip, good find and thanks for sharing Buttons!
Thanks Buttons! This is a good one, Mori-sensei is great. I think I've heard this before, or maybe it was a different interview/show, but I remember Mori-sensei talking about going to see them for the first time and joking about the girls reaching these highs because he taught them, and then clarifying that it's a joke because some people would take it seriously, it cracked me up. Edit: Just saw you posted it, thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this. Just yesterday I was thinking about how Mori Sensei must be proud knowing that he had a direct and powerful influence on these girls becoming who they are today.
Great video, Mori-Sensei called Nakamoto instead of Su-metal, is like parent calling real name, as opposed to stage name, that's a level of closeness and caring. Before going to big show in Tokyo dome, He had some concerns, since the girls knew nothing about metal, what if they're pressured to do it against their will, hence he basically avoided going to their concert. Only after Watching the girl's charisma on full display, along with great production, and Kami band, "tears come to my eyes just talking about it". Have watched some Sakura Gakuin graduation performance, as well as whole bunch of funny quiz clips, he definitely came across as a super caring and funny tutor. When Babymetal perform, they basically go all in, from start to finish non-stop, with high energy level all the way, one can only guess they all passed out once performance is over. Their physical endurance is unreal, well it's similar story for student graduation performance, many times there is also no stop (or brief pause) among performance, guess that's how their energy level got trained, year of hard work pays off. Many thanks to the wonderful Sakura Gakuin, apparently those students are super close to each other, bet many become lifelong friends. Watching his students growing up from tiny teenagers into mega professional performers, much be such a wonderful feeling. There are many factors leading to Babymetal's global success, the impressive list of song, Mikiko's magic choreograph (she has choreographed most of Sakura Gakuin and Babymetal dances, among others), the energy of the girls/audience participation, the amazing Kami Band, the world class stage design, marketing & promotion, and to top it off, the amazing vocal of Su-metal. They joked Nakamoto couldn’t ride a bike or read Manga, she made a deal with devil to sing in Tokyo Dome instead, apparently, it's such a great deal, and dream did come true. "In fact, it is very convenient to be able to ride a bicycle, but she forgets about it to get to Tokyo Dome, with that voice they might go further than that", well they did go way way further. "I got to see the show along with some top musicians and producers, and even they were surprised by how big it all was, there must be a great power in Babymetal to be able to play in Tokyo Dome, everyone said without Nakamoto’s vocal ability, none of this could happened, her voice goes further, much further, while sound doesn’t go away, she doesn’t fade”. He admitted never been to Tokyo Dome (50K+ seats) before, his previous high point has been Sun Mall (capacity: 294 seats). “Someone like me who’s only been to places like the Sun Mall Theater, what could I possibly say to these girls who showed up to electrified Tokyo Dome”, easy sir, just say “fantastic job, girls, well earned”.
Or tie her shoelaces which is why she has zipper boots, while Moa has lace ups - I’m sure most of this is exaggerated to play into the Su as an airhead joke…Su is many things, but airhead she definitely isn’t.
@@Rxlrpl She is just awkward and this is why we love her because we all are a little awkward inside and she gives us the freedom to not be ashamed of it.
fox god devil (Satan the Great Deceiver) The girls have said more than once how they are taken over by the “fox god” and Suzuka readily admits she is like someone else performing as Su-Metal. To say that I am not troubled by this would be a lie. I am praying (honestly I am) for them.
oh Buttons, there was an old vid on RU-vid where an older Japanese actress was asked her top 3 Babymetal song, because she was a fan... Can't seem to find it anywhere. would you happen to have it?😅
It's on Twitter, but sadly without subtitles mobile.twitter.com/JoriDeath/status/1340301200625844226 mobile.twitter.com/JoriDeath/status/1340301385703682048 mobile.twitter.com/JoriDeath/status/1340301501055422466
I think I know the one you are talking about. I was thinking of that too. Some Idol I though that was around 27yrs old who went to Tokyo Dome to watch BABYMETAL and was saying how crazy it was that she was fan girling over at 16-17yr old Su. Was super cute interview. Or maybe I am thinking of a different one since it was an Idol and not an actress. 🤔
@@mikepowers9486 might have been a different one, because the one I saw was about a 60yr old Japanese actress being asked her top 3 babymetal song since she was a fan and went to the Tokyo Dome concert. 🤘🦊🤘
Mori sensei said Su-metal becomes a completely different person on stage comparing it to making a pact with the Devil. I'm going to just laugh at that cuz otherwise I'm going to be a little bit scared. LOL And what's this about her showing up by herself without a manager? Did the other girls from Ash and beyond have managers? Will someone please write a book or make a documentary? Buttons? Jk...
My SG and ASH knowledge is very limited there. You don't get it, I have some AMAZING people in The Foxhole I talk to, friends with, family if you will that help me with A TON of this stuff. It ain't all me trust me.
@@ButtonsMetal I see. Have you heard Babymetal being referred to as team ASH and Friends? Or the Budokan being called the Rocket? I didn't know Su chan couldn't read manga until now. She's such a dork. LOL
@@ButtonsMetal yes of course buttons. I know Suzuka Nakamoto laughs at herself for having difficulty doing the little "unimportant" things like tying her shoes apparently. I would gladly exchange my natural athletic abilities to headline the Budokan or Tokyo Dome. Her becoming a credited song writer is proof she's got more important goals on her bucket list. All the extremely gifted persons I've read about seem to always have little unimportant quirks about them. I'm glad Su-metal is who she is and she can probably teach some of us fans not to take ourselves to seriously with the minor stuff. I know she's completely above the typical but silly muchisimo stuff too many people concern themselves with. So I 100% agree that she is to be loved even more for being imperfectly perfect :)
