She might not be on our radio stations yet but, believe you me, a lot of U.S. based RU-vidrs have banded to be a cult following Morissette just as they have been for Dimash. You should totally listen to the original version by Mariah to understand the complexity of it. Morissette is the only artist to really do Mariah's song justice.

That is a good question. Why doesn't the world know of Morissette? This was a few months ago and I thinknshe sounds better because we're all in lockdown and she isn't travelling, so she's well rested. Adonis, the base player, he's a producer and he said he was really in tuned with how Mori wanted the song to be. Kiko is doing the higher vocals and there's a real drummer that did the drums. But they want to build up the instrumentals when it was time to do so to match Mori and it worked so well. 😍😍 speaking of a capella, check out her 2020 version of Rise Up with 3rd Avenue who are an a capella group, which Adonis Tabanda is also a part of. This man is talent too

Yes! Her original version is amazingly fantastic and beautiful. She sang live the song at the Grammys and she was the only one having that night, standing ovation. This singer from this video, is having talent, but trying to sound as Mariah and not on her way, makes the song sounds terrible, her whistles sounds like she's screaming

I'm also confused as to why she's not mainstream in the US. At the same time I suppose being mainstream in the US isn't that important in this day and age. The perks of being on the radio and tv shows was exposure, she probably has more than 1 billion impressions on RU-vid, Akin Ka Na Lang has 115 million so it's probably much higher than a billion. I think we just need to change how we percieve mainstream.

The reason she's not known here in the U.S. and the western world is because you can only get so far with covers....she needs a good songwriter who can write English songs!!
Good reaction, but I don't like this singer because she's always trying to imitate to Mariah and you should react to Mariah original version and wrote it by her. Mariah has lots of covers but never trying to imitate to the originals artists, she goes on her way.
