I hope you enjoyed this secondary look at Morissette’s recent live performance of “Akin ka na lang,” her iconic power ballad. I much prefer this hipper version featuring a relaxed tempo and a little more syncopation in the rhythm section. She gave us some great runs, some beautiful timbres and really demonstrated her melodic ability with the open section near the end. I loved this one!
I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player, music educator, and vocal coach local to New Orleans. I have two degrees in jazz/music education and work professionally playing music. Maam erika please watch her concert with david foster a few months ago where she sang Never enough ang the bodyguard medley...never enough where she wore a blue dress,and the bodyguard medley wearing a pinkish dress was the best
