There’s a difference between Dimash and Mori. Dimash went to the Music Conservatory since young age until his highest degree in Music. While Mori learned her singing from Karaoki in young age. Improved her techniques when she join the PH Repertoire for a short Broadway. Please react to her Akin Ka Lang. That voice control was a marathon with much longer breath control. Thank you. She did pretty much everything in this song. From the warmth of her low velvet voice to her thick powerful yet pleasant to hear belt of high notes. To head voice, falsetto, the riffs and runs, the changes in the style or the song, those little squeaks and the whistle. Mind you it's not your regular tweety whistling bird, it's well controlled, has it's own vibrato, she's basically playing around it which is insane. And that's 14 friggin seconds!!! Everything is in this performance. That's the Morisette's touch that I think no one can do. Plus isn't she gorgeous? 😢 Aww man, you fell inlove and so did I.

Whistle notes are different from one singer to another. For example Mariah’s whistle is airy but Morissette’s is not. Same for Dimash, he has different whistle tone, maybe not as clear as Morissette’s which is fine cause he’s a man and whistle is way harder for a man. But he has controlled whistles too.. even his highest one that you mentioned (D8) was loud but controlled cause the vibrato was there.

@carlorodriguez5167 not true. She employs an airy tone more often these days but she has recorded whistles that aren't airy. Lots of them on her merry Xmas 2 u album and she has hit them live. Also, she employed airy whistles in her earlier years so your generalizations arent helpful. Again...I think this conversation is pointless...pitting artists against each other when people don't even have all the information. Making big generalizations about these singers is annoying.
