Morissette LIVE cover of "EASY ON ME" by Adele | Musical Theatre Coach Reacts 

She did a cover of Evanescence's My Immortal around the same time, these were part of a live stream she did. Just sublime. Her recent performance of "Gusto ko nung Bumitaw" is a monster. She belts, squeaks and blows your mind with her power.

♡M☆rissette♡ the only artist that gives me goosebumps each time I listen to any of her live performances even when I had watched it for so many times

She's also reading the lyrics. She's done a bunch of these at home not even really knowing the songs she clams and just laugh it off but not losing her pitch. Just really "Unplugged"

She’s absolute pure Magic and inspiration.

The thing is that she's singing at the totally edge of her vocal cords when she's singing quietly. She's also able to shape her vocal tract to create whatever sound she wants to with her voice. She's a technically proficient vocalist.

Morisette always resonate perfection 🥰. She always inspired me everytime I listened 🎶 to her. Her raw talent amazes me! Love ❤️ Morisette. What a beautiful song 🎵.

Her intonation is impecable and I believe being with her musical director Adonis Tabanba , can take some credit. He has worked with her since 2015/16 and leading 3RD Avenue his band and her back-up singers, his ear is a pitch instrument. Mori is continually finding new techniques and what her voice can do. Her cover of O'Holy Night, Favor Church , is sung like you have never heard it before....no vocal tricks, growls, squeaks.

Morrisette had her 26th birthday this past June. Her sound or tone has deepened just in the last several years. I know she constantly works to extend her lower range and her audience demands that she continually strengthen her upper range because she said, “That’s what Filipinos get excited about.” You know more than me, but I have always heard that a singer/vocalist who continues training normally reaches maturity in their thirties. Sometimes I think of Morrisette, if God blesses, as a 40 year old professional singer, her wonderful natural tone, with the experience and expertise of Soyang. That would be interesting.

It is interesting people like this Morrisee version of this song. She had just been released after a week in the hospital with Covid and a serious bout of diverticulitis in early January 2022. She has a more rambuctious version in a live stream several months later. Some of the live steam performances over the last two years are special. Not as precise as her concerts or other public appearances, but so satisfying.

If she could only write songs like Elton John or Dolly Parton or Billy Joel or Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks or Willie Nelson or Prince....she would easily be the best musician of all time. She's figuring it out. She's got the voice part on lock. She's intelligent enough to figure out the music too. Just not enough experience. She's put all of her points in vocal ability thus far. She'll get it. She is supremely creative with her voice and there's no reason to think she can't be that creative with the music.

I don't disagree that this is more of her being an artist than a force of nature with her belting, whistle tones and crazy breath control. The other stuff I'd say reflects this side of her from years ago is the acapella version of Rise Up and her amazing cover of Mariah Carey's Fly Like A Bird. She has some legitimate soul in her singing. That's why I always say she's a mix of Whitney, Mariah and Celine. She does a little of each of their strengths and still manages to sound like herself.
