It seems that the human brain reacts so positively to deep sounds. Despite Morrisette insane range, which some have suggested five octaves and some notes, it's her low range that provides such a base, even for her very high notes. We react naturally to great bass notes and percussion that harkens to more primitive times. I noticed when deep bass voices (Tim Foust, Home Free) have a very high tenor range, you still hear that deep resonance, even on the very high notes they produce. Morrisette's voice is the same. Even in her mid range the depth is so inviting to the ear. Other wonderful female voices seem thin by comparison. It helps that she has such great technique. A famous basketball coach always said, "You can't coach tall." With singers, however great, you can't teach tone.
