Morissette & Dave really makes a great team. Her vocal prowess and ability to express emotions is top tier. Dave has shown an amazing ability of cinematography and editing. And, now, both are showcasing their talent for songwriting. It’s sad that everything was combined to create a song of heartache.
Here’s my interpretation of the video: Mori was drifted from the ocean. It seems she should be with someone that keeps her coming back to the ocean but eventually realized she’s alone. Meaning she used to be with her family but she was being drifted by her emotions to a place unknown. A message in a bottle was seen in the shore. No one knows what’s inside. Maybe this is a message from her family she’s been looking for all through out. A light house suddenly lit and caught her attention. She went and curiously looked at it and climb to the top. Here, it seems she’s on her way to limelight to be a star. She’s following her dreams and what her instincts is telling her. But then again she’s still coming back to the ocean looking for something/someone until she almost drowned. This represents that she’s being drowned by her thoughts and emotions. She’s torned what she will follow. That while chasing her dreams she thinks something was being left out and lacking - Her family. Days passed, her emotions still overflows. But as days go by, she somehow loving the place she’s at. Fresh air, deep breathe, FREEDOM. She’s now happy where she is. A black bird flying was shown and so is she with her black dress. The bird represent as herself, flying on her own and being free. The video ends with her looking at the ocean and a beautiful sunset. There, maybe she’s telling her family that soon she will go back while whispering “I STILL LOVE YOU” - end

after i hear and listen again.. i think this song should get a new touch, it would be better if there is a new version, collaborating with rappers like Ez mills, Rich Bryan or international rappers... there is a little change in the music and cut the music part. ... There are many symbolisms in the video and the lyrics. What many fail to mention is the line, i believe it goes.. there is no right, there is no wrong. Wich refers to her and her fathers perspectives. Edit.. The line is.. Nobody's right, nobody's wrong.
I think the lighthouse symbolizes her being lost, as the purpose of a lighthouse is to serve as navigational aid, so boats can navigate through the dark nights or storms.

I would be waiting for that if possible for you to react to. Think of learning tagalog too, as I always sing along and memorize the lyrics of many tagalog songs, but not really understand...and that tagalog is similar to indonesian, and also ilocano which is very similar to javanese.
