Good morning from the last frontier of the Philippines Puerto Princesa City Palawan 💖💖💖sooooo beautiful waking up like this and you've watch this reaction of Yours 😊😊 again Thank You Thank You so much... keep it up more power and God bless You 🙏🙏
She is very talented young woman, love her humble way, I love young singers that bring back our old songs, beautiful n it reminds me my youngest day, love it 😍
Yes not just Mori's amazing vocal talent is why she so adorable, but her true humble and friendly nature, but you will find out later Mynion,as you view more top talents from the Philippines, that everyone one of them do not act like mega divas that put themselves on a pedastel above their actual talent as they do here in the west,Philippines stars just seem so grateful and truly thankful to be blessed for their gift or luck, and just act like normal people, and no better than anyone else, visit the Philippines once, truly loved the people and their culture.
I've always been told that people from the Philippines are very loving, joyful, and humble. So far in my life that has rung true with everyone I've met or learned about. Maybe Mori is here to put western Divas in their place and show 'em how it is supposed to be done? =)
Very hard to find now this generation someone young she is very humble don’t drinks alcohol don’t do drug as talented as this young lady with a spotlight on her amazing person i wish all her dreams will come true for her and i truly believe she become a mega stars worldwide
The two songs are very compatible with each other At some point when she switched to Usahay I almost forgot that she was singing in a different language. Both have the feeling of relaxation like I should be on a gondola floating down a river with some wine.
@Mynion If you're interested, she did a live version of this mashup for the 84th Charter Day of Cebu City (her original hometown) where there's more emotion I think probably because she's doing it for her townmates; check it out in Mori McCalatt YT channel if you wish
Wow!!! You must have gifted hearing, sir! I didn't even notice the popping sound until you mentioned it. Now, ut I can't help but notice how distracting and consistent it is. But you're absolutely right, though! Mori's voice is still worth it all :-) In regards to her Usahay rendition and emotion, it could have been lost in translation. The song also has this hopeful and dreamy infatuated mood and emotion to it...
ponorj, what I should've done was listen to it without subtitles first, and then look up the lyrics like I did with Akin Ka Na Lang. Might listen to it again tonight that way and see if I get different vibes. And yes, I have great hearing and used to tick my wife off because I'd hear something and be able to replicate it on the piano (having not been trained in music whatsoever). She, of course, had music lessons and played multiple instruments growing up. ;)
I hear you, That deep wishbus voice you hear at the beginning and end of the song is a the equivalent to a fingerprint or of a watermark on a stock photo. This is to prevent other outlets from taking their original footage and monetising as if they own it. Wishbus 107.5 is a radio station first and foremost. The numerals 107.5 are not picked at random. 107.5 is the radio frequency they broadcast the wish channel on.
I believe that crackling in the background is for effect, to create that nostalgic, analog-phonographic-vinyl sound reminiscent of the era. Noticed that Moon River is done in black and white. As the mashup transitions into Usahay and color, the crackling sound disappears.
Waiting for you to find this Mori’s mash up cover. Sounds like lullaby with Mori’s sweet voice. Her back up vocal is Dave Lamar. Mori’s fiance/videographer and director, he is also a singer. They got engaged late last year😍
Both song are love songs MOON RIVER😍💗 USAHAY is her Native Language in Cebu City where Mori came it's a Visayan old Song but its very popular one of many Dialect in the Philippines 😍💗💗 react to her 10th Anniversary Performances live on ASAP 😍💗 Thanks
Sir, you’re one of the very few reactors to see the whole video and I appreciate that. You get to see the beautiful country even on a cloudy morning. You’re showing love to our Mori and therefore you show love to filipinos. We’re just simple people with simple life. Thank you sir for your genuine reaction and obvious respect for her talent. I can’t wait to go back home and stay there to retire. I remember the simple life there growing up. I’m tearing up typing this. Again, thank you sir.
I think so, too, Torkil, but I think they mixed it too loud and at a minimum I certainly would've had it less frequent in the mix. Sometimes just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. ;)

Usahay is a Philippine Love Song hence the machup but blended and transitioned between the 2 was smooth! Anu I luvvvv Moon River. I've only heard it with Andy Williams but now I have another version to love!!!!
Yeah ,that popping threw me off ,I thought I blew a speaker at first, but I think they were trying to capture the old cracking noise from vinyl records to go with the black and white theme. It actually sucks.
Once you notice it it there, you cannot ignore it. It's just right there in your face and it, for me, destroys a beautiful performance. I would've recommended to them to do a vinyl record effect right at the beginning and then fade it out as soon as the music starts. And then you could fade it back in at the very end.
ad youve noticed the background from moonriber is black and white because it is reflect in the past and old time to the new genaration and turn to colored to Usahay which means sometimes
I never liked the song Moon River to be honest, but I enjoy it with the mashup of Usahay -- brings a new dimension to it, along with better (and more interesting) vocals. I agree about the clicking -- I know it was an effect, but they should've made it more subtle. I think most high-production music videos lack that strong emotional bond that you'll get from live ones. You should check out songs like "Wind Beneath my Wings" (Live in Laguna), Search "Morissette Amon’s rendition of I’ll Never Love Again-Lady Gaga" , and "Listen" (A Lani Morissette Concert 2018)
Thanks for your good reaction and assessment but her not good enough display of emotion is probably in her response to the meaning of the song that accordingly sometimes she dreams that her beloved is not serious about their love because he just joke about it but nothing tragic to make her emotional. She appears more romantic in her expression of the song rather than devastated.
USAHAY is a classic Visayan song and a native language of Morissette because she is from Cebu City Philippines. Thank you Sir for this reaction. Please watch and react her cover of Rick Price HEAVEN KNOWS at Stages Sessions. Stay safe and God bless 🙏❤️
Sir that thumbnail ur staring at when you were wrapping up your reaction is what you should also do of mori....thats her acapella version of Rise Up if you havent yet.
You still should really watch this with Morissette's idol Regine Velasquez. Search >> "REGINE & MORISSETTE - Showdown of (Maria Carey Songs)". It's very very good.
This was a very nice video, but if you want the emotional Morissette, try the Audrey Hepburn cover. It is simple and full of the raw emotion we have gotten used to from Morissette.
Awesome! Thanks for another reaction vid! She's such a down-to-earth, kind-hearted, bubbly person. There is a live version of Moon River also on Stages Sessions - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tK7GJVOG4SI.html
