I totally agree with you. As a non Filipino looking at the Philippines culture especially the music scene it is very frustrating that they don’t all collectively give appreciation to all their singers. Instead they have factions of followers backing their own favorite singers and trash talking the others. It is absolutely astonishing how this girl gets so much shit comments thrown at her direction. You know why she probably didn’t get standing ovations at the concerts? My opinion is that the Filipino in the audience are taking her for granted and just DO NOT APPRECIATE her because she’s living in their backyard metaphorically speaking. Give her the same exposure like Charice had I will guarantee you she would get standing ovations in the west in front of Caucasian audiences.

@@OOCFM well all I can say is that as long as we are around to appreciate this 8th wonder of the modern world and many others appreciate her from all over the world that's all that matters, I know where you are going with this because I have really had the same feelings as you, I think there is a certain amount of resentment towards her in the Philippines because I don't think the Philippines has seen anyone like her and they don't want her to do well, I think most of the time they can't get over Charice, Sarah Geronimo, Regine who she has surpassed by a very great margin, MORISSETTE has so much appeal across the globe that all the others can only dream of, I think she is going to have this problem anywhere she goes because she's set the bar so high that no one wants to appreciate her especially if she gets a sniff at the mainstream that's so full of egoistic attention seeking self obsessed drama queens that could quite possibly make her life a misery, she already has a story to tell about her experience with Rhett Lawrence Mariah Carey's producer when she went to capital records, she didn't like the toxic atmosphere that was surrounding her, wanting to turn her into something she's not, I think her song TROPHY was making reference to that experience, she will do it her way or not at all, I just can't wait for the day for her to explode and shut down all her bashers, she deserves EVERYTHING 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️
