Her cowriter Dave Lamar became known for these types of lyrics a decade ago as a RU-vid Philippine pioneer. Also in an interview she did about her Signature EP she responded to a question about her ability to channel an emotion in a song. She used Secret Love Song and Akin Ka Na Lang as examples. She had never experienced either situations the songs conveyed in their lyrics when she made them popular. She stated she thought of similar feelings she had experienced in her life and imagined how they could be used by her while performing those songs. She was taught that is how you performed music. You start with the emotion the song is meant to portray and work all the other elements into the performance. It becomes personal when you adopt the feelings as your own. That is what the audience hears. Signature was so personal because those songs revealed feelings she had experienced that had deep meaning to her.
Yeah this is definitely for her dad. I think Mori finally reached the point and lost hope that they'll ever be okay again which is very sad. She's been waiting for him for so many years now.😢 I'm still praying for Mori to not give up yet though because at the end of the day, family is family.
