Mork & Mindy - All Bloopers Compilation (S1 - S4)

Mork and Mindy 78

All in one compilation of every Mork & Mindy blooper (I could find). Taken from the 'infamous' "1st Bleam video" from 1979 (hence the poor quality in sections); some that have appeared on ABC blooper shows (where the quality is better than the '79 vid, I replaced where possible); the gag reels from the show, and newer ones from more recent tribute shows and documentaries (mostly the 2nd - 4th Season ones) towards the end.
Have tried to collate them in running order by episode where possible, just for ease of finding them if anyone is looking for specific ones (with original musical compilations and Orson interactions acting as interludes here and there).
Swearing, gestures and 'that' ending remain.
Mork Moves In - 00:30 - 01:53
Mork Runs Away - 01:54 - 02:34

It's actually airing here in Canada Monday thru Friday on regular tv. BUT, before every episode there is a warning about the "unacceptable humor and references which were not acceptable then or today.... etc. etc etc." In other words, the PC crowd wants to guilt you if you choose to watch it.
@morkandmindy7826
@morkandmindy7826 2 года назад
@@mysticgatekeeper It's great to hear it's on regularly! I wondered if it might get hit by some of those now almost ubiquitous warnings for shows from the 70s/80s! I guess with some of the 'jiggle' episodes of Season 2 and the occasional Tonto/Native American 'Hollywood' voice he referenced it was probably inevitable. Feels bizarre given its such a well meaning positive show. But If the original Muppet Show now gets hit with disclaimers M&M was almost bound to.

The two of them worked in perfect harmony. The chemistry between them was amazing. What's even more amazing us that Pam got the part and didn't even know it. She didn't know Robin either! It was a wonderful show but as they say, all GOOD things must come to an end. There will never be another Robin Williams There will never be another show that will ever even hold a candle to M & M!

Yup! Their chemistry was effortless. It's remarkable really, hitting it off personally and professionally with someone like that without so much as a pre-meet up! I'm with people like Howard Storm who said the show never would have worked without it being that particular pairing. He gave it the incredible energy and she the heart and realness. When you go a bit deeper in fact, the whole thing has an (often weird) run of Serendipity about it that involves not only Robin and Pam, but Gina Hecht, Jay Thomas *and* Mark Harmon.

100%. The biography by Howard Storm, who directed all of the first 3 season's worth of episodes gives a lot of insight into the fun (and frustration) of directing Robin. His increasing drug use at the time didn't help, but everyone loved him so much that it remained a very affectionate/supportive set.

@@morkandmindy7826 The writers didn't like that. They would leave entire pages blank and say, "Mork can go off here."

@@davidlafleche1142 Afraid that's just a myth that grew up, but isn't true. The writers have made that clear. The scripts were always drafted, rehearsed and re-written until the final shooting script was done. Robin could on the day ad lib and if it was better than what was in the script they would keep it. But there were no blank pages, and most of what was written was shot. You can't plan out the shooting of an episode with blank pages.

Amazed any episodes got completed. 90% of Williams dialodge was improvised so the other actors often never knew what he was going to say next.
@morkandmindy7826
@morkandmindy7826 Год назад
That's a common misconception I'm afraid. And one the writers (who worked till 3/4am in the morning on the scripts constantly have to correct). As you said yourself if that had been the case the episodes *never* would have been completed. You simply can't work that way. Robin did improvise on shooting days occasionally, but more often than not, any changes were made in consultation with the writers rehearsals long before shooting ever began.

@pattiscott5549
@pattiscott5549 Месяц назад
What are you exactly saying?? I'm guessing here about your statement, but are you questioning his crazy outrageous humorous talent that left us laughing from the time he arrived and spread his genius self was driven from drugs and being high ? He was known to have had struggles with drug addiction, but that drug use didn't make him funny nor did it ever make him not funny. Robin was born with some kind of ability to be able to always be someone nobody could possibly ever come near, the statement "they broke the mold when he was born" applied to him for sure, how could anyone be that funny with lighting speed hilarious comebacks and physical antics, that no one ever will come near to. I think he was from another planet sometimes!! I also believe that the energy it took and the enormous gift he had just being Robin always always being in the limelight, no matter what took its toll on him and eventually and unfortunately his escape was drugs. But becoming sober had to be hard for him and anybody for that matter, but he did it. His demise years later was so so horrible, he struggled for a long time with his neurological disease that took everything away from him as that same horrific disease does to anyone that has to battle it every single moment of every single day. For him his personality was his liability and just who he was, I'm so sorry he choose such a tragic way to end his suffering, even that choice to do that, didn't seem like how he would have really decided or chose to leave this world, I think his thought process was so affected and his thinking was truly unstable that ultimately when he killed himself in the manner he did to end it... it wasn't Robin at all but the disease that took control and carried it out without Robin knowing right from wrong. It's own euthanasia !! To sad for words. I know we will always LOVE and CHERISH him FOREVER. HE truly was a hero that made me laugh, a true gut hurting laugh that is always a great experience, and it will continue to always happen when I see this very special man.❤ So long for now !

She was such a wonderful actress, such innocence yet strength and love. They played off each other so well too. The co-stars were always on point as well. Just a 🤪crazy🤪goofy🤪and wholesome show that was great for kids, and their parents too. I still don't know HOW these actors kept a straight face with Robin Williams doing his multiple voices, personalities, faces, and actions. He was a genius when it came to comedy and acting. Very well said, and completely agree. Robin was and remains unique. A comic genius and intellect (along with being an amazing actor). explosively and relentlessly funny, impish and sweet. Pam was the perfect foil to him. His best straight 'man', a far better actress than even she gave herself credit for. She grounded the show, while her own comic timing got better and better as it went on. Their chemistry never flagged, and it's great that later generations still get to appreciate it, Robin's comedy mastery at its earliest, and such a funny warm hearted show.

One of the bloopers was from one of my two favorite touching episodes, where after giving them stupid gag gifts and the family not knowing how to react and he overhears Susan (Morgan Fairchild) making fun of his gifts and leaves, Mork Mindy, her dad and grandma reminders of some very special moments in their past. The other touching episode which always makes me tear up is when Mork shrinks into a parallel universe and is gone for days. As the main character (Mandy) died in his arms he begins to grow again right through the fibers of the tablecloth and the reunion is extremely touching.

@ the 23:30 mark or so there was a scene where you can see Pam is trying to not laugh with Robin Williams going his own goofiness. Then the next scene she has this little giggle and Robin in this hilarious voice says, "why do you laugh at MEEE?" Not a hugely big blooper but to hear Pam Dawber do the *sshole line after that sweet little giggle was adorably funny. She again had this wholesome innocence but also had a smoldering look that made her an extremely sexy woman. She was obviously beautiful, she was incredibly funny, and she was a perfect opposite for Robin Williams. This show was made when shows were made to be funny! Not push some weak agenda, or some political issue, or some other ridiculous ideology. Robin Williams was just flat out hilarious. I've called him a comedic genius and in my opinion there has never been anyone better at comedy who came before, during, after, or even will into the future. Robin Williams🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 was a 🎁gift!🎁 A PRECIOUS GIFT! 🎁💝🧧🎁💝🧧🎁💝🎁💝🧧🎁💖 AND he left one of the most amazing, incredible, wonderful, charming, hilarious, and beautiful legacies that anyone had ever had. 🙏🕊RIP🙏🕊🙏Robin🕊🙏🕊Williams🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊 God Bless you and sleep well sir, you deserve eternal peace, happiness, and ❤LOVE!❤

Classic Imp of a man, but it was no wonder the filming was restricted to over 16s. My bet is there's a lot more in the vaults, that can't be added to the family friendly DVDs. I am sorry I cannot respond to you in Spanish (mine is non-existent I'm afraid)! But if the translation is correct then no Pam NEVER *ever* said Robin harassed her or made any such allegations against him. What she said was that Robin used to flash her, grope her and do all kinds of things, to make her laugh. These things DID come out years ago, and were well known. In fact people like Robin himself, Garry Marshall and the shows director, Howard Storm spoke about what he used to do to her. Not only that you can actually SEE Robin doing them to Pam in the Bloopers tape from the first year of the show. way back in 1979 (which is in this compilation video). He did all of it to make her laugh/blush and Pam SAID that. She never ever made any derogatory or accusatory remarks about his behavior. They were wonderful friends and loved each other. However when the Biography by David Itzkoff came out after Robin died, sections of the MEDIA took the stories (that again were well known!) and tried to make it sound like it was something it wasn't. They made click bait out of their headlines, but then when you read the articles you saw Pam was only ever talking about the (admittedly smutty) ways he would try to catch her off guard and make her laugh. She was a good friend who loved and respected him. And while I absolutely agree that Robin 100 percent was a genius, and the reason for the show, he himself said Mork & Mindy never would have worked without the balance that Pam brought to it, and she was his rock. She had a hit show of her own years later before giving up acting for marriage and to raise a family. I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about her, and it's a shame that this wrong idea, because of media manipulation, persists.

Disculpa🙏❤️

@@ceciliarodriguezroge7692 Hi, no need to be sorry! You're far better linguistically than I am! But I do have to restate that Pam *did not* ever hop on the Me Too train. These stories did *not* just come out after 40 years. They were around *for* 40 years. This really was not a matter of his not being around to give his testimony, because HE talked about doing these things to her himself (including in a Lifetime 'Biography' of Pam in 2002) And as you say yourself you can see him flashing her and naked in the video (and also grabbing her boob and groping her!). All of that behavior was widely known by a lot of fans even in the 1970s (thanks to that bootleg video!) and talked about long before he died by Robin, Pam, Garry, show directors Bob Claver, Howard Storm and others who worked on the show. Howard Storm, who directed all of the episodes in the first 3 seasons, recalled (on multiple occasions) actively stopping filming to say to things like 'Robin where in the script does it say Mork grabs Mindy's boob?" This really wasn't anything New, or something she just brought up for the first time after he died. Robin freely spoke about it, so this was not a case of being something he had to defend. Robin volunteered the info. The timing in 2018 was purely down to the publishing of Robin's Biography, and nothing to do with Pam. She was approached (as all those closest to Robin were) by David Itzkoff and spoke about their time making Mork and Mindy. She spoke about a lot of things in regards to their friendship and the making of the show. Including the same stories about his 'puppyish' behavior that in her own words may sound bad to others now but for her, had to be taken in the context that Robin meant them. That he was, in many ways, a giant kid. Impish and playful and trying to make her laugh and that was a big part of who he was. Pam was merely recounting the same *old* stories again, fondly (Howard and Garry did the same). She made absolutely no allegations against him, she loved him. It absolutely was the Press/Media using those particular parts of her conversation with David Itzkoff in the book as *clickbait* to make it sound like this was all brand new info, and that he harassed her. But when you read what she actually says, it's clear it's not and she made it *clear* it wasn't anything like the Me Too cases. There was a reason that Robin wanted Pam on his last TV show with him just months before he died, and named her his 'dream' co-star. They remained close and she never has accused him of anything (except maybe being a smutty minded goof ball!)🤣🙃 Thank you for giving me the opportunity to correct this misconception! And always glad to chat about how great the show (and Pam) was, and naturally how much of a comedy genius Robin was/is/will be regarded forever! ❤️ ❤️

the audio and video being out of sync makes the blooper video seem less awesome somehow.

For the sections from the original blooper reel from '79? It's not actually out of sync, I just think the poor video quality in some scenes can make it hard to see their lips move at times!
