This day started off in a special way for Andrei Filipinez and me. While the rest of the Russian Village on Samal was still asleep, we greeted the sunrise together and took a trip down memory lane. We recalled 2012, when Andrei first set foot on Filipino land, and how my mom warmly welcomed him at the resort. We talked about his challenging journey as a vlogger, the early days of creating content in English, and the struggles he faced along the way. We reminisced about discovering Filipino cuisine and shared our favorite dishes. Our conversation also touched on our viewers - comparing the comments from our Russian and Filipino audiences, it’s always heartwarming to see how differently, yet with the same support and warmth, they respond to our videos.
One of the most interesting topics was the difference in learning languages: why is it so easy for Filipinos and more difficult for Russians? This heartfelt conversation under the morning sun on Samal was truly a moment of unity and shared experiences between two cultures.
