Im watching this tryin to take my mind of my rabbit which died because of horrific fox. I just can't stop crying she was the best baby and I still don't believe what happened to her😭. She was a conti mix. But to try to stop myself from crying I just keeping reminding myself that we'll meet again
Scarlet Does Love Me thank you so much, reading nice comments makes our day, specially when people let us know how we help them see bunnies in a different way. We are mutually lucky to be have each other in our lives.
Lily de plus I trained my baby from 8 weeks old to go in a litter box. It doesn’t have litter though. It has paper towels folded flat. His food is at one end and he pees and poops at the other end. He never does anything on the carpet. He is 4 months old and runs around the house now. It took lots of attention and patience to train him, but in 4 weeks he was totally trained.. As soon as he peed on the paper towel, I changed it. The thing is, they almost always poop at the same time that they eat. So you don’t want to give them food out where you don’t want to pick up poop. His water is in a bowl next to his litter/food box (16”x11”x4”).
Wow, these bunnies look so happy and well-fed! Thank you for sharing. I'm going to be adopting a male Netherland Dwarf bunny (he is currently two and a half months old) and I'm wondering what anyone out there in the youtube community who currently owns/owned a bunny of that breed has fed their bunny? I want to make sure he's getting the right diet, though I understand some bunnies are different and just like different things. Thanks!
Norma Gutierrez here’s a link for my beginners guide on bunnies, on my blog I have several post/tips about looking after my bunnies edenalison.wordpress.com/2017/06/12/beginners-guide-to-rabbits-part-1-diet/ I also recommend the websites of the house Rabbit society and medirabbit
What you mean by evil? Maybe you are approaching your bunny in a way that looks aggressive to him/her and he/she is just defending itself. Most of the time is us not understanding what the bunny is telling us. Be patience and gentle with your bun and it will pay off.
It is because you need some where for it to hide and it is all so because it needs to get used to you I know this RU-vidr that her bunny was scared for 2 years then it started to play more and come to her more!!so I think that is why!!
he needs maybe more attention and your bunny needs to win your trust. give him some specials whats he likes to enjoy, like banana, or piece of apple. My bunnies like so much raisins!!! feed it with your hand. every day routine and then begin to stroke softly a little bit.
Hi, i know there are videos and pages about mixing 2 dwarfs doesnt matter male female they will fight. But how bout yours? Howwwwwwwwww. I have 1 male dwarf hes 5months old now. Really wanted to get him a lifetime partner. Im already bonded with him
bonexoz bunnies sexually mature around 6 months, depending on how big or how much your bunny weights you can get him neutered around that age, I recommend talking to your vet about it first, ours are two female rabbits so we didn’t have to worry about about fighting or babies or rush to spay them. But for a male X male couple you have the risk of territorial fights and obviously if you get him a female rabbit that haven’t got spayed you might end up with a sea of bunnies. Maybe you can get a already spayed bun from a shelter and let them help you to introduce the bunnies. I hope our advice was useful. But to be honest we were lucky we didn’t experience fights while introducing them and we did it before they were sexually mature and became more territorial.
Please Foster and adopt these wonderful house bunnies as you will never regret it and they will become friends and family members for life for sure. Funnies are so great they even litter box train themselves they're so smart.
Yes! They are lovely companions 💖💐 My family gave a second home to an ex-breeding mini Lop rabbit called Dottie. She was the sweetest girl. Rabbits are the best 💐
They’re so cute!!! i’m probably getting a dwarf bunny soon! I did my research unlike other people who just buy them without researching. Good video! :)
They are adorable! I have a Netherland dwarf too he looks like your black one, I was wondering what indoor play pen are you using how tall as im not what height to get him as he can jump over his current one
Hlo my friend where is your new videos ,are your rabbits are fine ,why you are not upload your new videos plz tell me ,l am waiting for your lovely rabbits
What’s the name of your bunny? We name ours Sumomo after a japanese prune/plum. They are both round and sweet 😅 but we are curious to know how other people names their rabbits too.
@@NiftyNiniandlalalatte We have two Nethies, the male looks exactly like your dark rabbit but he has a white stripe on his head and very blue eyes, his name is Zeko (In Croatian it means rabbit) and the female is a light grey / blue and her name is Fuji (As we all now Japanese mount Fuji)
bro- we bought a dwarf bunny from a breeder and he’s supposed to be 2 weeks old but he’s a bit big.. Hes not as big as the bunnies in this vid but i feel like maybe hes overweight or something he’s 2 months old should i stop feeding him alfalfa hay?
Alfalfa hay has a higher protein level than grass hay, which makes it too fattening to feed as the main diet even for the average adult rabbit. So yes, should give less alfalfa hay.
To everyone saying they want a Netherlands dwarf specifically - please go to your local rabbit shelter and not the pet store. I didn’t choose or look for a dwarf and I have one from the shelter who was abandoned after being bought from a pet supermarket. Please adopt.
I want a rabbit so bad but they need room and when you have a dog that wants to kill anything smaller than it that could be a problem trying to hide them
Thinking of getting two of these little guys for my fully fenced back yard. It's about 1000 Square feet of grass is that enough? I live in Utah and would build them a house for the backyard. These wouldn't be house bunnies would this be a good breed for that?
Rabbits don't do well living in gardens in general as theirs a lot of stressful things going out outdoors. If you can build them a house that would allow them to have room to exercise and run, and it's weather proof and safe. There's a lot of great designs on Pinterest of this kind of houses you can check out before you decide if you can offer bunnies the habitat they need in your garden. As indoors rabbits live twice longer. We hope this information is helpful.
Hi, they are potty trained, we use carpet tiles because it’s soft on their paws. At the beginning they pee on carpet, but we keep changing their pee box, location and different type until we find one that they like. But every now and then, they have an accident, but much less now. Maybe not an accident, but they do it on purpose to make me clean lol
This breed of rabbits is the smallest one, so they need to be handled with extra care. Rabbits are prey animals and most of them like their own space and to be independent. It all depends in the character of each rabbit and that they don't feel overwhelmed or threated by their owners.
I have a dwarf bunny. She's a rescue. She was brought to my school by a teacher who found her abandoned on the side of the road in a box that absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. I have no idea how old she is but I've had her for almost 2 months now and I've noticed no growth. She's so tiny like so tiny. Like the size of a guinea pig. I've been giving her alfalfa because I assume she was under 3 months but no change. I'm not sure what to do. She's going to see a vet in 2 weeks from now. She was also extremely aggressive at first and I'm having to slowly get her comfortable with being held and loved on.
I'm glad that the bun found someone kind enough to give it good life, even if the bun is aggressive, it's most likely defensive behaviour. Just take your time, keep feeding her nice snacks with your hand, and just approach her slowly, quietly and give her space.
@@NiftyNiniandlalalatte Thank you! She's rarely aggressive to me anymore I just meant when I first got her. I just don't understand why she's so tiny. She eats plenty of fruit and hay. Should I be concerned?
@@Yellow-py4qe I say give it a few more months. Fruit is best in a very small amount for baby rabbits. Offer small amounts of vegetable as a treat, once your bunny has eaten sufficient hay. Good quality of hay and grass and water should be available for her at all time. Onc the rabbit grow a bit older, you can feed them more handful of safe washed leafy green vegetables, herbs and weeds daily. Lastly, feed your rabbits a small amount of good quality pellets/nuggets daily. Small amount first for your baby rabbit. You can check out what can and can't rabbit eat online. Lots of guide, even on youtube, you will find plenty of guides
@@NiftyNiniandlalalatte Thank you! All of this is a part of her diet already. But I'll make sure to be sure she has pellets every day because so far I've been giving them every three days.
They were roughly 6 to 8 months at the time we shot the video. Netherland dwarf rabbits are super cute, but their size makes them very fragile, and they tend to be a little bit less friendly than other breeds. But of course, every rabbit is different. Sorry it took us a while to reply to your comment. Please do let us know if you got one and how you 2 are doing 🥰❤❤
@@keirahazelwood7858 Which one is smaller and has round ear? I'm looking one at my country just want to make sure it's the one I like which is smaller and has roundish ear and round face..
Thanks. don’t worry, they don’t just eat pellets. Its not a guide visor full instructional video on what to feed your rabbit. It’s just a cute video experiment. Thanks
@@NiftyNiniandlalalatte ok sorry about that then! I didnt mean to come off as rude odor anything like that I was just making sure although you do seem very knoweledgeable
Mostly hay. This is important for Netherland Dwarf rabbits, in particular, in order to keep their teeth worn down. You can supplement your bunny's diet with pellets and rabbit-safe fruits and vegetables.
