Since finding her, I (once a professional musician) listen to Ingrid EVERY day. My two teenage daughters, both gifted musicians, now love her music too. "Morning Lullabies" is a gateway drug - I mean - song :~D
It makes me think of being a little kid and curling up against my mother after having a nightmare. Also, when my baby cousin fell asleep in my arms. It is a wonderful song.
What a beautiful song. I can always tell when a song is sung from the heart and soul. It just engulfs your soul and it is so peaceful it makes you close your eyes and be their in the moment
Ingrid hates this album fsr. I actually really like it, but for her she thinks it's too stage toon-y. That being said, some of the songs like let go are very revamped for Girls and Boys into songs like Breakable

Ingrid has said that she hates this album, since it’ so similar to showtunes , so she took it off iTunes a while ago, which is sad since songs like Charlie are exceptional for a debut album.

One of my fav artist! This song, along with,The way I am, & Winter song. They make me feel warm & cozy, as if I were kicked back, sipping a mug of hot cocoa while gazing out the windows at the glorious golden-yellow, orange & red leaves of the fall, slowly dancing their way towards the ground...ahhhhh :)
@TheMiniPizzaria I agree, Love this song too and it makes me cry almost every time I listen to it. This has to be the most beautiful song I have heard in a long, long time. It makes you feel this is how you should feel about a man you are really in love with.
Yes when I heard this song, I was like 'Is that really her'? She sounds so different. A lot like Lucy Durack (you might not know who that is. She's the Australian Glinda, (she's very good, almost as good as Kristin herself!) and I heard some of her solo songs and they sound a lot like this. Anyway, Ingrid Michaelson is a great lyricist and singer. And Wicked is awesome. No question.

yes its true i have many good friends and a lovely family but i still believe that deep down everyone wishes to find that special someone in the world and until then i think that everyone would feel a bit lonely deep inside especially when most of your friends have already managed to find him/her :) yet ure right i'm not that lonley

I used to play this song to get my little sister to go to sleep. Now whenever I listen to this I remember when I did it. I just hope she i still the same when she's my age :( I

even though she technically is close to mainstream.. if your music videos have ended up on at least VH1 or MTV, you're mainstream. she's had one video on VH1, and that was "The Way I Am". Although, that song contrasts greatly to the rest of her music, though it's still sweet :)
