Heck yeah guys! You made me homesick! I went to Seton Hall from 89-92. Love our old gym. They used to bus us to the meadowlands for conference home games. We had the squad back in the early 90's. So cool to see.
I had never seen it before till yesterday watching the UConn highlights...I thought it looked like a high school gym, or at least that's the vibe I got from it...pretty different and unique gym though compared to most other arenas or gyms.
I grew up in southern Indiana(Seymour) & my high school gym is literally double that size, maybe more than double. If I'm not mistaken, our gym held 9600 people when maxed out for sectionals & regionals. When Damon Bailey played there for sectionals/regionals when I was a sophomore & junior it'd sell out, they'd even sell standing room only tickets for the 2nd level along the railing bcuz of the Bailey hype. Coach Knight came there a couple of times to watch Bailey which for Hoosiers was a huge deal. It's shocking a college has a gym that small
The men play at the Prudential Center. Every time they remodel the gym they end up taking seats out and the school keeps making excuses for not expanding it to meet Big East standards, it sucks cause the whole facility that it’s apart of is nice and would make it more of a college atmosphere.
