The cool thing is Skenes is from Fullerton and was probably like 16 years old when Ohtani came to MLB. I’m pretty sure being 5 mins from Angels Stadium Paul went to go see him pitch and hit.
Skenes was actually on the very game Shohei home debut as a pitcher in his Rookie year 2018. Shohei was perfect game until 7th Inning in that debut game
