"Whatcha Tink?" I think he's so cute... and so bright!!! He makes my African Grey look simple...lol Well done, he's obviously well loved and well cared for to have learned as much as he has. Bravo!!!
most people are to young to remember these amazing little birds' i remember back in the 1970's there was one in the bait shop in clarksville tenn and it was very vocal ' it was amazing how much its vocabulary was, alot of people went in there and so it learned alot'
Minas, parrots, starlings, crows, ravens can all talk! They should have a talking dinosaur in Jurassic World 2, since birds and dinosaurs are so closely related.
what can I say, but that I'm soo in love with you, Little Kaleo! Your Mum just brings out all your talents and the love you have for her is enviable-keep it up, sweet little Kaleo XXXOOO
The best part starts at 1:38 and last a few seconds, when he says "what'cha doing little duck, quack quack quack, I'm a chicken". I play that every day now. I see a new ringtone coming :)
You are right..he has been able to associate words with action and actually seems to enjoy mixing up words he knows..He surprises me sometimes with what he comes up with
A Congo African grey was my buddy for 8 years and we had conversations as you do. My situations unfortunately made it difficult to keep him and he has a Wonderful home with a good friend. I miss him but he's so happy and lives like a king. Enjoy your baby!!! So precious!
Hi there! Absolutely LOVE this video - I'm forever playing it to my family and friends, and all are astounded at the intelligence of Kaleo! Would love to know what you're feeding him, how you've trained him (talking AND toilet training), and any other tips if possible! I too have found an Indian mynah baby (he was probably a day or two old) - ive handraised him and he's now almost 5 weeks but has problems with his left foot - like yours, the chances of him surviving in the wild is slim, so I've
Exactly. He mixes it up..sometimes he is a chicken and i'm a turkey..or he is a turkey and I'm a Duck..He will blurt out something random from time to time like You're a Jack! ...Jack being a word he learned from a different phrase:-)
i rescued a baby mynah wen he was one week old...nw he's one and a half months and so adorable....i cant imagine how people can talk abt killing thm because they are pests.....if thats the case then ppl shud b frst in the list...lets not forget our wonderful contribution to global warming.
After I found him it became apparent something was wrong with his leg. Either it was broken or deformed. I release birds I rehabilitate but he was one that would not have done well in the wild. He gets along fine for the most part with it
Just wondering... Parrots can not only repeat phrases, but can use them to communicate with their owner in their own way, like saying 'bombs away' when it has to go to the bathroom... Do mynah birds do that too? Or is it only mimicking?
Wonderful birds. When I was a kid, I was an errand-boy for a vegetable truck. I had free entry to every house on my round, one of them had a mynah. It startled me at first when I went into one house and heard: "Andrew, Andrew! Breakfast, come on you'll be late for school!" I am now 60, but the bird's voice was a spit-copy of the kid's mother. I'll never forget those days.
