⁠@@monnssrrrsquad9322thank you !!! I’m glad you love it! I already buffed the alpha a TON and the update is now just waiting for approval so within about a day or two the update should be out and it will be MUCH stronger. But u can also control its strength in the admin remote :)

I had just downloaded the mod and I started a fresh game. Literally day 2 and I had a LV 80 Moschops following behind me on my 162 Clay's Triceratops. I was traveling near the herbivore island when a massive red tail broke the surface. It was a 130 female and her mutated baby with the mother attacking some Xiphatinus and a Sarcosuchus. I stopped to watch and I went up the nearby hill to watch the show because everything in ASA is amazing visually. Suddenly, the fight was over and she was so close to the beach, but not quite there. In an instant, she turned towards the Moschops I had left life fifteen feet from the waters edge and she trashed about, jaws biting and tail slapping. She did...900+ damage to my Moschops...who never saw it coming. Then I got sonic blasted and started to suffocate...I ran, I had to, I was unable to avenge Betty the Moschops. I warn everyone; do not underestimate these behemoths, even from the beachside. Wonderful video as always, Dark. 🤘🐋

Evrn if the boss itself is configurable, the base attack definitely needs buff if Livyatans are meant to fight the Alpha Livyatan

The first time I encountered one of these after purchasing the mod was absolutely terrifying. I was out on my glaucus looking for them and one of them spawned right under me without me knowing... the sonic blast attack gave me one hell of a fright.

I was also surprised that the livyatan got its own theme as well, it made me go "Now this, this is an amazing mod!" If you didn't know one was nearby, the motiff definitely lets you know if it's in combat range.

I just love how the mod drys hide, uses bones and so forth i wish normal ark had more of a survival feeling, and seeing it having different attacks is just fantastic it makes them feel so much more alive, love it ! I hope more mods and the game take some inspiration from this.

This is everything a livyatan should be! Unfortunately the rest of ark is not up to scratch. The boss needs to be stronger, and it needs to have a pve use, other ocean rivals. Still, the bone armor, sonic attacks, sheer mass, hide drying - all of it is perfect.

It's certainly a creature with very unique and elaborate taming mechanics with a lot of thought and work put into it. Saying that, I have very mixed feelings on it. Balance aside, which Moro's creatures always seem to have difficulty with, this creature seems more like a Titan class creature. As such, perhaps the design should lean more towards that direction instead of a regular creature to be tamed, bred etc. The alpha being something like a Gen1 Moer mini boss. Just my first thoughts on it....

I like the mod idea but if I had a suggestion it would be that the Dino is *too* big, like obnoxiously big. I’d probably get the mod if it was 10-20% smaller

Disclaimer: I don’t care about whether it’s accurate or not, I know most ark Dinos are oversized. But this creature feels too big in general, not compared to the real thing, just in general.

I agree. It's only scaled up as many times as the Mosa, but is a little big and impractical. The oceans aren't big enough for it.

You know, when I first saw this - and a clip of the Levi bugging out - I scoffed and figured that is what paid mods by wildcard would be. After watching this (and your taming video) I would happily go up to Moros and pay him $15 for this. 5 is way too low!

They are balanced and you can configure how strong they are using the admin remote in the mod.

Also I love this guy. I can’t add him to my servers until premium mod configurations are figured out. Same with anomalo 😭 I will also probably just use the standard saddle and maybe the siege saddle once unlocked. I just am personally not a fan of saddles that cover the whole creature. That’s why I’m glad the dingy lil saddle is an option haha

Hey Rebecca, sorry to pester you about things like this here but I prefer not to ask (possibly) stupid questions in the discord lol. In Paleo Ark, how might one obtain the Paleo Rex variant? The fuzzy one? Is it through breeding or is it a rare chance to spawn?

Currently, it's only via admin commands as it's supposed to get activate by the Paleo ARK: Ascension mod (when it's available). But there has been discussions of creating a rare chance to hatch one via breeding, too 👀 not implemented yet, though!

I just felt like you were struggling to pronounce it that way haha, it’s a lot easier to just say leviatan fast 🤣 Ofc, that’s what the Latin name is based off

I completely agree! I think the intended meaning matters more. But, RU-vid is RU-vid, I've had people actually go out of their way to INSULT me for years because of DIALECT pronunciations, let alone scientific ones 😅 the joy of having an accent on the internet

Dont think its worth 5$ tbh. Very situational creature and requires an ocean for the most part so its useless in places like aberration and scorched earth. Its very huge making it an ocean mostly tame cant go into shallow with out getting stuck. 5$ for pyromane had people complaining and it was not situational at all. I know its hard work but tbh its worth 3$

Unfortunately $3 straight up isn't an option. Garuga also wanted to charge just $3 for his Anomalocaris too but CurseForge's prices are locked at $2, $5, $10 and $25 They will soon add Bob's Tall Tales style accessibility to Premium Mods for servers though, so hopefully that'll help alleviate it when they finally do

@@DarkEdgeTVSurvival that makes more sense then if the price is locked. 5$ is not alot of money but its the principle of it 5$ for a fire cat that is pretty much playable in all maps vs 5$ for a giant sperm whale that need deep ocean only. Love this mod though. Great video

Yeah I completely understand, and somewhat agree! For what it's worth, Livyatan and Anomalocaris were both released before the Pyromane, so that might have skewed the principle of $5 playability. But ultimately I still get it, ocean tames overall are just more restricted 😅

1:23 the dino is still NOT imprinted to you. You are missing the additional imprint buff that gives 30% extra damage. What you can see in the right upper corner. Or in your case you dont see it because you dont have it.^^

Yes, I do. The buff doesn't appear when using "cheat setimprintquality 1" but the health and damage scaling certainly goes up ^^ It's a visual error but I can confirm it occurs in both ASE and ASA. Try it out in singleplayer and mess with the scaling between 0-10 (1 is default 100% imprint), it's very noticable

@@DarkEdgeTVSurvival i know the dino gets the 100% imprint. But you dont get the extra 30% dmg from the buff. Only the additional % on rar stats. But the imprint normally applies the buff in the upper corner as well. And that buff is an additional buff to the 100% rar stat upgrade. i tested it.^^ Its no visual bug. Its simply not imprinted to your character.

Because these are showcases, not let's plays/livestreams. I usually much prefer farming stuff, but due to sheer bulk of materials and kills required for these endgame recipes, including footage of several-days worth of farming would easily push this video to over an hour long, and I don't think that's really what people want to watch for a showcase. Check my other showcases of earlier-game creatures, I usually farm then
