I think THE film is great...and I Love to see how THE women and children live. Its very nice to show THE circumstances of women Five stars to Christofer and Good bless His soul.
I too felt that the tone was disrespectful, but he did say at the end of the video that he was dying; It could account for the abrupt tone. The shots of the mountains and Amazigh life were very good though.
I did not like it when he said "well, TV and Americam culture have arrived." I should say "Thank God the Americans have arrived." Just as England and France said in euphoria in WWII. They make take some but Americans have always given more. How much have the French given to Morocco in 50 years of "protectorate"? Almost zilch, zero but speeches. By the way, some of the descendants of the same "berbers" (Amazigh) you see have been sent to fight the Nazis alongside English troops while the French sat on their asses and directd the traffic to the front ("En avant" but never "After me!). Such short memories...
I’m really surprised you made it home with so many beautiful places to bury your body, you really shouldn’t travel until you learn to respect people and their culture.
Chris did die of cancer in 2018..he was one of a kind..he travelled widely with no fear and listened to classical music with a constant addiction..he must have bin only 56
Chris was my friend. He died aged 63. He was a true eccentric, who loved life and hated it, in equal measure. He was often stroppy, but that's because he was complicated. Many a time we had a good argument. But he suffered greatly and I miss his grumpy friendship! I wish he had known Jesus. That he rejected Him, breaks my heart.
I watched this video because I was interested in mountain villages, and how houses are constructed and so on, and several times I disliked the comments that the film maker made, I thought them arrogant. It would've been a much better film with no voice over because we learnt nothing from it except the film maker's love of self.
@@rebeccalloyd2256 yep I knew him.he was arrogant but he left us some interesting stuff.he was terrible to travel with five months in ukraine. He died of cancer in 2018 @ 56 I believe he was.
Chris had only recently been given his diagnosis of untreatable cancer, when he made this vid. He was arrogant and impatient. But he was my good friend, I met him just after this trip. He suffered greatly and died at 63. I miss his grumpy friendship!
