Hi There. When my wife Cath visited in 1986 with two of her young sons, there were no buildings to the right, just a small but ok cafe and the parking was in a field. No boats, bridges or walkways and very few people. She has some amazing photos of the natural untouched area. We both appreciate though that as a place becomes known of and popular it needs maintenance and safety in structure. Still an awesome place and will visit again some day for sure. Ait Ben Haddou is worth a visit and tge Dades valley. Maybe you have time for a desert experience too. Glad you are enjoying Morocco our chosen home. We live in the South near Agadir. Safe travels and thanks for sharing. 👍

I agree with you, just a few years back the area was so natural no buildings at all and when you arrive there you only find a small hotel and a parking and nothing else around, the place was quite and desertic, then the buildings sprout out, luckily for the locals as the income opportunities developed as well, but nature wise the place is loosing its virginity more and more

Morocco truly is a stunning country with so much diversity and natural beauty to offer. The Ouzoud Falls and Marrakesh are just a couple of the amazing attractions that showcase the rich culture and landscapes of this vibrant destination. The waterfall looked unique, but I found the monkeys to be more captivating. If I ever go on that waterfall trail, I will bring snacks to feed the monkeys. I would also dine at the restaurant you featured in this video since the food looked good and it had a nice view of the square. My goal is to visit Morocco in 2026.

You are truly the most professional travelers I have ever seen, and you always travel in the smartest way! It’s a pity that you can’t use drones in Morocco, otherwise I believe you will be able to take a lot of amazing video footage! This is also the first time I have seen rice with salad. It is indeed very strange. It seems that the calories are doubled, haha! That waterfall doubles the fun of visiting the lake. The scenery is indeed beautiful! The local food is cheap and the grilled meat you selected for dinner looks delicious! Thanks a lot for sharing, really awesome job! 👍🥰🙏

Great video guys and Ouzoud is just beautiful ,glad you explored the area , for the Salad actually one of the best Moroccan salads has rice in it, but it has to be prepared properly , restaurants don`t do it properly and of course it is always overpriced , idk what was they gave you, I always say the best way to experience Moroccan cuisine is with the locals because food is prepared with care , even Tajines are badly made and us Moroccans we never eat such dishes in restaurant .

Hey guys! Great video. Loved it. That funky little square you passed (13:25) through on your way back to the Jemaa el Fna is called the Place des Ferblantier and was the focal point of my ‘hood during my time in Marrakech. Can’t say enough. Just sorry you didn’t get out there and hoofed it up the Rue Riad Zitoun el Kedim to Jemaa el Fna. Really authentic Marrakech. Fortunately not expressed in English on Google maps, so unless you’re staying in the neighborhood, it’s hard to understand. But getting lost in the Medina is part of the fun. ❤

The guides would have shown you some beautiful shortcuts to reach the waterfall, in Morocco you can enjoy life and food whether you are rich or not…one tiny blame though, you talk about money lost too often😢 and hustlers and scammers… play it easy and you will enjoy more…last thing, there are many many places in Morocco better than Marrakech… and you still need to try local food more…a part from tajines there are plenty of culinary gems…to Sum up I will say enjoy your stay and be safe

Did Carol’s phone work? I am asking because there is a scam like that in Egypt where they sell you a bullsh!t SIM-card. I do not buy local SIM-cards anymore. I buy e-SIM card. I remember she said she wants to buy a new iPhone in Miami. I have an iPhone 14. The app I use for buying an e-SIM card is Airalo. I have used it in Indonesia and Qatar during my travels in December.

💯 I use the world eSim card from Airalo as well. It includes Morocco, and my is good for a year.

The new sim from Orange worked straight away, the one from maroc telecom never worked. There is a number you can call to check your credit and the credit was there and it also said the sim was active so no idea why it wouldn’t work

@@JumpingPlaces , I think they sca•mmed, Carol. Ugh! 😩This sc•am happens a lot in Egypt, too. Please, start buying an e-sim. Carol has an iPhone. It is super easy to install. Read the instructions and you are good to go. There are different data packages on the app.

@@jenmar9428It wasn't a scam. She went to a well established Moroccan company, it even branched out to other African countries. The Moroccan companies provide free SIM cards with credit at the airports so why would they scam you when you actually come to buy one one? I believe it was a problem with the settings of her phone or some other technical issue. But I do think that the agency should have been more helpful, they need to work on their customer service.
