I'm truly impressed by a tutorial video's clear explanations and captivating design. It's both informative and visually appealing, creating a fantastic learning experience.
The command"=lorem(1)" creates sample text for your slide layout. You can create up to three paragraphs in the newer PPT Versions. After typing =lorem(3) press enter and the text will appear.
Hi! How do you insert the map and what is your PPT version? Some older versions don't work well with .svg files. Also if it's .svg format ungroup it and see if that will show you the whole map.
@@leveluppowerpoint9815 Insert picture then the folder itself. I used Office 365 package powerpoint. I really wanted it because it has the small countries like Guadeloupe etc. ❤️❤️
Hello there, can you please help me make a ppt containing the detailed map of South Korea? The svg really can't be edited individually in the WPS office. (And I can't open my microsoft account )
Hello, I have a problem. When I paste the map to PPT, it doesn’t let me ungroup it. I’m using the newest version PPT from App Store on my Mac. The map is in .svg so I don’t know where is the problem. Can you please help me?
Hi! There are some differences between PPT on PC and Mac. To convert the .svg file into shapes on Macs you would have to select the .svg file and go to the Graphics Format tab and in the Graphics Styles section click on the Convert to Shape button. That should work the same as ungrouping it on PC. Let us know how if it worked!
Thanks a lot for the tutorial! I really learned a lot, but I am having trouble downloading the map... the links seem to not be working I think. Would you be so kind as to tell me where I could get the map you are using? When I go to amcharts web page its only available in SVG format... thanks a lot!!
Thank you glad you liked it! We are using a map from amcharts in the SVG format. That would allow you to modify it in PPT. Add the map in svg format to your slide, select it, press CTRL + SHIFT + G (ungroup) and click Yes inthe pop-up window. This will convert the image into editable graphic.
Hi Stuart! The file would have to be in .svg format (you can copy and paste any vector elements from Illustrator) and then after you insert it into your PPT select it and ungroup (CTRL+ SHIFT + G) to convert it into editable shapes. You can get a lot of free vector maps here: www.amcharts.com/svg-maps/
@@leveluppowerpoint9815 Hi! I've gone to that website and downloaded several world maps but they all have the same problem when I paste or drop into powerpoint: they are cropped. I tried the crop too to "uncrop" them but I can't. the map is simply incomplete in powerpoint even though it's complete when openend directly in the web browser or other svg readers. Any suggestions?
@@arielreyes001 Hi! I would recommend using .svg file and then after placing it into the PPT select it and ungroup (CTRL + SHIFT + G) and click Yes in the pop-up window. Then all elements should be editable and not cropped. Are you using PC or Mac? There are some differences.
@@leveluppowerpoint9815 i use window 10 PC and i have exactly the same problem with @Ariel Reyes. i tried to ungroup them but it turned out not respond. and when i inserted world map picture, they are cropped only America and some europe continent. Any suggestion?
Hello, I'm using an old laptop so I just can run PowerPoint 2016, and I saw some tutorial on RU-vid that PowerPoint 365 has an insert icon bar, but the old version of PowerPoint doesn't have it. To manipulate that case, I downloaded some icon or using the adds-in icon, but I cannot change the color of the icon, when I try to change the color, the background of the icon that should be a png file was changed, so it's not a png anymore. Do you have any solution for this case? Thank You so much.
Hi Anton! You can try to select the icon and press CTRL + SHIFT + G - to ungroup and click Yes on the pop-up window. If it's an svg file it will convert it to shapes and then you can freely modify it.
@@privatejr2702 Hi, I realize it's late now but I had the same issue. After pasting, if you right click and ungroup it will turn it into the full size, editable image.
Thank you! Sending love back! To get the Morph you would have to get a newer PPT version, we use Microsoft 365. You can find the Indian map here: www.amcharts.com/svg-maps/?map=india
@@leveluppowerpoint9815 Thank you.. but i Dont have office 365. So please give me morph file in ppt form as given before... i dont know how to use svg format.. pls send me it in ppt file.. pls pls pls...
@@subhransubindhani8996 Morph is a tool that is only available when you have the new PPT version. We can't share Morph as it's a part of the software. In order for the file to display correctly on your computer, you would also need to have the new PPT version with Morph. To use .svg download it, then insert it on the slide, select it and press CTRL + SHIFT + G (to ungroup).
Hi! Unfortunately, Morph is only available with Office 365 subscription. Inserting svg file in 2016 works the same way. Don't forget to ungroup it (CTRL + SHIFT + G) after you insert it on the slide.

Hi! A regular textbox can be grouped but not if it's a placeholder (layout placeholer). So you could create a new textbox (shape) and copy-paste the text into the textbox. Let me know if that works
Hello Motahir Sajjad, not yet! But we will discuss Master creations in the future. To make it short: For this example we used a dark background color and place to gradient filled shapes on the master page.
After you insert a .svg map onto the slide then you have to select it and press CREL + SHIFT + G to ungroup. That will create an editable group of shapes :)
You can set up the number that slides will start from (Design tab > Slide Size > Custom Slide Size). We sometimes decide to start from 0 to not count the cover page (when we create a Table of Content).
Hello YU QING, you can insert .svg files the same way you insert .png or .jpg. For example drag'n'drop the file direct on your Slide or use the Insert -> Picture Button
Hi! Thank you! We made a video about the intro animation: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bStt8Zvb2kk.html and explained a little the introduction line animation (8:04): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dn9QbxDKF_0.html
Hello regalsmartie11, we prepared the map for the video so everything was grouped except of Europe. At 0:48 you can see the selection. Our default map is made out of groups in groups so we can ungroup the map to have continents and the continents to have countries.
How to download the file? Use the link from the description under the video, the file is on our Dropbox. The file is in PowerPoint so there is no need to export it
Hi Storm my! You can get a world map in vectors from this website: www.amcharts.com/svg-maps/ then insert .svg file into PPT, select it and ungroup (CTRL + SHIFT + G) that will convert it into separate shapes. You can then modify the map like in the video. Let me know if that helped!
