I think the foundation looks very pretty on your skin. Great color match also. Eyes always look great. Yes, another person who won't put the AC on until it's just too hot. Having windows open is the best, and it also makes the cats happy! ❤😽😽😽
I think a lot of these brands focus more on younger skin. They need to think about us women in our 40s. I mean yeah on a 20 year old it probably will look amazing. But one day they will not be in their 20s LOL so they need to think of the future.
I agree. While I'm not old by any means, I noticed my skin changed drastically and started aging once I hit my 30s. When I was in my 20s I could slap any foundation on and it looked amazing so now I only follow 30-40+ YTers
Every single time you do arm swatches....I remember what a beautiful foundation the Missha is.......it blends in so perfectly that its hard to see!! ❤❤ Thank you ❤❤
I just LOVE your hair. It’s like a modern seventies shag. I just dig it so much. Would be cool to see a no 7 makeup video! I think it’s an underrated brand.
The Missha is probably my closest match next to the now-retired CYO 101. They're very similar. The Missha is maybe half a shade darker than the CYO was. I love the gray undertone. For whatever reason it works on me!
Milani has the CONCEAL + PERFECT SMOOTH FINISH CREAM TO POWDER foundation can you review that please. Thanks for all you do. Your skin looks so good too. Very smooth.
@@sandylay4005 thanks sandy I don't need that happening but I wonder if it would be great contour around the face but not on nose I guess because of the pore thing
Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to review so many foundations. I’m 42 and have been struggling lately to find something that will work for me and you’ve really helped me out . I appreciate you !!!
Glad to help, Bridget! This seems like a frustrating makeup decade to me because every time I feel like I finally get something to work really well, my skin changes and it's back to square one.
Another great review, Shelly! I think I'm going to pass on this one. There are so many other good drugstore price foundations out there that I'm currently loving. Your reviews are a double edge sword. Lol. You do the dirty work of filtering out the so-so/bad foundations but then you review so many good ones. Please keep doing what you're doing! It's greatly appreciated! How close are they to completing your addition?
Hi Shelley I thought this one looked pretty good tbh. I have very dry skin, but rarely have a lot of flaky skin. When I do I tend to go for tinted moisturisers etc, as my skin will suck the moisture from any foundation (no matter how many layers of skincare underneath) leaving it looking cakey. I'm currently using the Mac F&B, but even it can look a bit dry/patchy at the end of the day when my skin is super thirsty. Scotland has had weird weather this May - we even had snow and hailstones the other week. It's been cold, windy and a lot of rain or fairly mild with sunny spells and occasional showers. We haven't had any actually warm days so far (apart from a couple in April randomly). Hearing people say how hot it is always seems a bit strange lol, when it's really not here. Best wishes.
Appreciate your thorough reviews which have saved me $$$! Have you tried CT Light Wonder foundation...might be a nice everyday light-medium for dry skin. Keep up great work!
I'm like you, I prefer to have my windows open and only turn on the air conditioner when the humidity gets uncomfortable. This foundation looks to be quite nice, tretinoin side effects aside. I just purchased the Morphe 2 Hint Hint Skin Tint a few days ago. The first time I wore it the coverage looked kind of patchy and it accentuated some texture. I wore it again today and used a primer underneath, what a difference! Much smoother and hardly any texture at all. I also grabbed the Madison Beer eyeshadow palette. It's so pretty! the shades are nicely pigmented and easy to work with. :)
Okay, so I thought the foundation looked really nice, you look so pretty. Between the hair, eye makeup and that lovely blouse, you have such a gorgeous boho vibe. Loving that haircut, it frames your face so beautifully!!!!
This looked very nice! Your perfect shade does appear to be the Missha....can't even see the swatch! How would you compare Missha and Purito? Great to see you today! ❣
I got this when it first came out. They were giving a free brush away with it. An so I grabbed it. I returned it! I didn’t like this one on me. It was finicky. It just looked bad on my skin! If you haven’t tried the It cosmetics your skin but better foundation ..OMG..it is literally my one of my holy grails now!! I absolutely love that foundation!!
This looks really good! That shade is pretty perfect, too. If I decide to spring for this one, that's the exact shade I would choose. Your eyes look fabulous with that palette - understated yet quite popping, too! Brava!!! (BTW, I love the bra strap...such pretty lace! What brand may I ask?)
I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your channel. Your approach to makeup is so refreshing! I'm also so pleased with your website! I am almost 59, and continue to struggle to find a foundation that I truly love. I can't get used to dewy foundations that stay a bit tacky on the skin, so the fact that you didn't powder this foundation peeked my interest in it. Does it actually dry down? I have found if I use a more satin/matte foundation, adding 'glow" with a TINY amount of my Hourglass Veil powder and a glowy setting spray my skin looks much better! I have been watching a lot of your older videos and loving them as well!❤️❤️
Thanks, Patti! I've been having good luck lately with not having to powder my foundations. I don't know if it's something changing in my skin/body chemistry or if formulas are just getting good like that!
Thanks, Kate!! I'm loving it! It's like a chameleon. I can make it look 70s retro or messy rock star or simple smooth or chaos bedhead.... lol it's been fun!!
Hi I picked this up too..when ulta had the sale which came with a brush..will need to pull it out again..I remember liking it ..yet also had some settling in the as you said freezing into my smile lines...
Great review ! I struggle with this foundation, I have combination skin - oily in places but dry on the outer parts of my face around my cheeks. I don’t like it on my skin whatsoever, i had the same issue it clings to texture and dry patches and as the day goes on it just looks worse 🥲😓 such a shame! I think it looks great on your skin ❤️ xx
It looks nice except for the accentuation of your smile lines because it's something I definitely noticed that I normally don't. I'm wondering if it's because the foundation is a just a tad too light for you since I know that can cause problems with how a foundation looks on your skin. Otherwise, I actually didn't notice the flakiness and thought it looked quite fresh.
Yes! Thanks, Bobbi! This is what happens when I go too long without being able to get a new tattoo lol. Something drastic has to happen somewhere! Hair this time 😂
I recently tried the newer Morphe Soft Filter concealer and wow I loved the coverage and it wasn’t drying to my 47 yr old under eyes. I am wondering if you’ve tried that one yet? I would be interested in a review!😁
Hey, I just heard that Nyx reformulated their drop foundation. Do you think it's one you'd want to try? Oh and I think this one looked really nice on you.
What brand of sunscreen do you use? I've been different brands , however I've noticed every time I use s mineral based one it gives me a rash on my neck ... and regular ones burn like hell fire!! It's starting to get expensive... any help or advice is appreciated... 💜💙🖤💚
Hi Trina! I don't have sensitivity issues to sunscreen so I am not sure any of these would be better, but I love La Roche Posay sunscreens, as well as the Make P:Rem sunscreen. I have good luck with Aveeno and Garnier as well. Here are some that I've been using lately! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dtEdVuwq9Lg.html
I did not have high hopes for this at the beginning, but at the 5 h mark, it looked very pretty. Now, I want you to consider : Teaching during pandemic, owns her own home, renovating, has youtube channel, increasing her social media presence, taking care of her health. Hot mess??? I don't think so!
