Firstly, I rented a Push 2 for a couple weeks to see if it could improve my workflow while improvising + recording the audio from my eurorack system directly into Ableton. I think I am going to keep the thing, because it really just gives me a massive selection of audio effects which I can apply to any one of my 6 channels coming from my mixer, with the added benefit of being able to edit / tweak the effects afterwards when mixing down the performance to make it sound less ugly.
Secondly, the firmware of the DEGREE is now rock solid at handling the Bender movements - so I can finally use them for all kinds of weird things. Earlier in this session I sequenced the bender movements of channel D and wired it into the VCA of one of my synth voices so that the voice would slowly enter and then exit the mix like a kind of wave - and then obviously I used a second bender to control the vari-speed input of the Morphogene, which is just so fun. Kind of like a DJ scratching effect or something.
Anyways, hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!
