morris minor commercial vehicles 

I passed my driving test in a Morris Minor van back in 1971 when I worked for what was known then as Post office telephones. It was a two week course and there were two learners, one sat in a forward facing seat in the back of the van ( no seatbelts )while the other one drove. I passed but my colleague failed. Then I got my own van in B.T. yellow, I can't remember the reg but the area numbers on the van were E.C. 27. When the old girl got retired I was given a Vauxhall Viva van which was rubbish. I wish I had the old girl now. Happy days. Thanks for sharing this it brought it all back.

After passing my test my first car was a 1965 c reg ex post office Morris 1000 van, fond memories of taking my mates up the Yorkshire Moors and making them get out on the hills while I chugged up the hills alone

Just the most beautiful looking British car ever so much charm and warmth i would love own one, ownership of a Morris Minor is more like a personal relationship with some one that you are always in love with through your life, through your warmer, kinder, and more appreciative years of life, in short a true relationship of pure happiness that you could ever realise or actually process with a car in your life true bliss, a dream you never wake up from.

Back in the mid sixties one of my lecturers had a former Post Office Morris Minor van. I well remember it having heavy rubber front and rear wings, side valve engine and split screen. It is/was the only one I've seen with rubber wings no doubt there were others.

I had a Morris minor pickup in the early 70s. the brakes on the one I had were really bad, had a few near misses, you didn't have to have a roadworthy test at that time here in Ireland. we had a van after that.

Watching this in 2022 I wonder where are all these LCVs now, you see less and less of them at events 😔

A family friend had a Minor van for his radio & TV sales and repair business here in Adelaide, South Australia when I was a kid growing up in the fifties & sixties. It was traded in the late sixties for a Toyota Corolla wagon.

Great Stuff! If you send me one here in Canada I like the rearview mirrors mounted by the vent windows rather than on the front fenders or "wings" as you call them. Left-hand drive too please! CHEERS

Nice to see the bomb disposal car with LPG. But surely fuel isn't so expensive that running the standard 1 litre engine is too much? They should be good for 30-40 mpg even today?

I want to buy Morris Minor but in Malaysia almost impossible for me to get one with good quality. Can l get the imported one from UK or New Zealand?

Re exhaust pipe exit on off side - as I understand it, back in the day it was illegal for exhausts to discharge on to the UK pavements, ............FWIW Renault 4's RHD UK vehicles had the exhaust out the back and not near side as normal for LHD

Rear doors plus a square back can pull exhaust gasses into the rear compartment. Not good if carrying people or animals.

I would want to change the front clip to the earlier low light model
