This is such a personal song for me about a lost loved one 🙏😥💓💖 Beautiful Morrissey has given me everything for almost forty years ❤😢 Fuck the haters. MORRISSEY IS THE KING
His voice is better than I've heard it in ages. I think he's getting top coaching, I could live without the slide solo on one string though, sounds like he's made the guitar seasick
I agree. I can almost hear Bowie's unimpressed comments there on Mozzer's band when they were supporting him: "they are at best, one step up from a pub band". 😬😅
I think the song is decent and a welcome for the new album! Hasn't he changed the lyrics somewhat since the debut? I think "I turn for your mercy" were better lines somehow. Fingers crossed that's what remains on the album track.
Yes he swapped “I turn to your mercy” for “you were made to be prayed to”. I think both sound nice but I’m curious which one will made the studio version.
@@richill9369 Maybe it's both, one used in the first verse and the other in the second. Hopefully we will find out one day, if this album ever gets released.
Seemed to me he got a bit choked up when he said the album’s future was uncertain. I hope Capitol doesn’t do something stupid and try to bury it thinking it’s too controversial.
You were made to be prayed to. For you are a saint in a stained glass window. You weren't corrupted. You tell the truth and you face being butchered? - I've had such a hard time, I've been waiting my turn since the wretched day I was born.I've had such a hard time, I should not exist. You'll never find my trace on lover's lips. - You were made to be prayed to. For you are a saint in a stained glass window.I call on your mercy, for you have a soul that can not be bought with money. I've had such a hard time, I've been waiting my turn. I'll be nobody 'till the day I burn. So, don't pick on me, I know nothing comes next. And now I'm too drained to protest. - Oh, Jesus let me die. Don't torture me more. I set my sights no higher than this hardwood floor. - Oh, Jesus let me die. I can't do this anymore. Give me rest. I'm too drained to protest. Oh, give me rest... Give me rest...Give me rest...Give me rest...Give me rest...
