I sing this song every day at work! No shame for expressing & displaying my love for Morrissey all he's created musicially that have saved all our lives at one point in time or another! and in some cases, still yet to be discovered. Bless Morrissey! Cheers from Ontario,Canada!
As a Morrissey lover, I must say that one of the things that does sadden Me is the beautiful hair from the Smiths/much of solo years becoming much more like a regular older man’s hair. It is so sharp and so him in the earlier years. He still is a Master and I still listen frequently, but that hair was mean switchblade cool.
It was my first job ever at a department store and I listened to this song in the morning all of the time on my way to work, smoking a cig before my shift started. That was over 20 years ago. Morrissey was my best supporter for so long.
this is song is such a kind treat for anyone to listen to, i love it when he says "you have a lovely singing voice" it's like he's saying everybody can sing and enjoy themselves no matter what
Yeah, but he's trying to say stop thinking you're special and it's all going to come to you, cos it won't - so do it NOW, cos there's only one life and it'll be over quicker than you can imagine.
this song takes me right back to being 14. I feel safe. I feel like life has potential again. I don't know anything, and so I have nothing to declare but my own genius. that kind of time travel is the only way I'm making it through the present moment, by not actually being present.
Lyrics: Sing your life Any fool can think of words that rhyme Many others do Why don't you? Do you want to? Oh... Sing your life Walk right up to the microphone And name All the things you love All the things that you loathe Oh, sing your life The things that you love And the things you loathe Oh, sing your life Oh, sing your life La, la-la, la-la, sing your life La, la-la, la-la, sing your life Others sang your life But now is a chance to shine And have the pleasure of Saying what you mean Have the pleasure of Meaning what you sing Oh, make no mistake my friend All of this will end So sing it now (sing your life) All the things you love (sing your life) All the things you loathe Oh, sing your life The things that you love And the things you loathe (sing your life) Oh, sing oh... Oh, sing oh... La, la-la, la-la, sing your life La, la-la, la-la, sing your life Don't leave it all unsaid Somewhere in the wasteland of your head, oh Head, oh, head, oh, head, oh And make no mistake, my friend Your pointless life will end But before you go Can you look at the truth ? You have a lovely singing voice A lovely singing voice And all of those Who sing on-key They stole the notion From you and me So, sing your life (sing your life) Sing your life (sing your life) Oh, sing your oh... Oh, sing your Sing your life Sing your life Sing your life Oh, sing your oh... (Sing your life) (Sing your life) Sing your life (Sing your life)
I love how Morrisseys perspective changes with time, and I would love to hear a sequel to this song, same tune with his new observations. Id be perfectly content if the song was exactly the same.
The feeling that left the Hispanic community in a craze for more this classic track from moz which was first heard on the Johnny Carson show made such an impact for nostalgia , rockabilly , and the obsession for Oscar Wilde
it's pretty remarkable how many people my music touches.... I think I am very lucky in that way, I think I have you to be the most thankful fan ❤️ 🎹🌹🎹🌹🎹🌹.
Don't leave it all unsaid Somewhere in the wasteland of your head, oh Head, oh, head, oh, head, oh And make no mistake, my friend Your pointless life will end What the fuck are you talking about every song this bitch sings is sad as fuck
They won't tho bc he doesn't have the right views on some issues that are complex and nuanced, they've decided he's just a conservative racist asshole. Which any true loyal fan would know is so far from the truth. It makes me sad.
@@glortw Either way, even if the things were true, it doesn't give the right for people to just hate his kuaoc for it, admire the music and you'll learn something
@@janpszczokowski7741 Agent Smith is that type of person that deems anything “communistic” that are politically correct. These persons have no political knowledge at all.
I may be in Highschool now but I'm influenced by his music since my mom would listen to his music when I was little. I always love listening to his best music
@Hartsick _Good to know kid, your mom has a fine taste in music. Also consider Loverboy, Aztec Camera and New Order; I'm sure you'll fall in love with 'em instantaneously if you haven't already. Have a nice day!_
For me Brazilian, one of the best performance of rock'a'billy ever seen in my life. Althought I had the chance to taste a live morrissey show, I will never dance such a wondering way like that people in that wonderful clip. thanks mozz
I have the faintest idea of anyone who can mix rockabilly with pop...morrissey can! The ideology of this mixture can only be made by this man and only this man.
What a beautiful song in every aspect. Glorious lyrical and instrumental motifs and the music video is simply perfect and aesthetically pleasing. Such a blessing of a message.
Steven, I AM Giacqui ('er Jacqui) and when you sing, you are singing my life. Your songs echo parts of my life or people I AM around and have the great chance of dealing with. This is a great thing that you are able to do!!! Someday I will see you and touch your greatness with more than just my fingertips, as I did on September 13th 2001. You sent me your Shawn, my Lonald, 15 years ago to love and for me to protect and they have been a most amazing 15 years. Right down to being locked behind the cemetery gates last night, on the eve of the eve of my 50th birthday... I am either growing older or growing more and more crazy 😁🐮🌻😘. Anyway, it all works out in this lifetime...
When I was 16 my boyfriend at that time introduced me to Morrissey's music and this was the very first song I listened to. My bf became one of my exes meanwhile Morrissey and his music have lived in my heart and in my mind up to now that I'm 44. I'm so lucky to have attended some of his concerts in Mex throughout the years.
This was the time he acquired , Boz, Alain, Gary, and Spence. Such an amazing time to follow with this line up. Vauxhall is my favorite album that featured bridgewood, and Taylor . But it was the best moz line up!
Moz knew me. To this day, I just put my Air Pods in and crank it up, sing off tune. Who cares? Just have fun! I remember going on stage during one of his concerts. Best times ever.

In his autobiography (titled "Autobiography"), Morrissey writes lovingly of the Camden Workers Social Club in London, where this was shot. Page 297 of the hardcover, if you should want to check it out!
