As an avid fan I’d really recommend three albums, Your Arsenal and Vauxhall and I from the 90’s and his very latest one I am not a Dog on a Chain... three fantastic albums.
Phenomenal showing of your vinyl collection of Morrisey Richie. I find this hard to believe but I think I have a Morrisey 12 inch that you didn’t show. Gonna have to try and find it to see if I am right. Enjoyed Richie!
Vinyl Richie wow you showed some great 12" of Morrissey I have a few you have some one i definitely hope to find i always look for his stuff i have almost all his studio albums I really dig is lyricism very catchy. I still need to do a Morrissey video before this year is out I really enjoyed your video Richie.I saw him in 2000 at the Chicago Theatre the was great he did a 2 hour set . Nice collection of his 12" singles Richie, well described. I've got most of his albums and singles and seen Morrissey live quite a few times, but last time at Ally Pally in March he was very disappointing. Now that he grows old, rich and comfortable in LA he has lost his edge. He did though play Every Day.. in my seaside hometown Great Yarmouth in 2009 which was a superb highlight. Vinyl Richie mine too. Don't have nearly as much as you. But Middle Earth was my first store when I was 13 1994, and skated there from Norwalk area. Great stuff.
He has a lot of singles. The last Morrissey 12" I bought was from 94.

Top notch collection, Rich. I think I'm with you on the Bona Drag collection of those early singles - they really are gems that (to me) carry on the Smiths mantle. I've always had a soft spot for Vauxhall & I - it's perfect sad-sack Smiths-style stuff. but more recently have discovered Viva Hate and those gorgeous late 80s singles which you showed. I would've honestly gone with Tim's bet on Marr; I guess you could say Morrissey definitely relies on his musical collaborators to bring out his lyrical best. Nice collection video, cheers- Dean

Like you, I’ve got all The Smiths’ albums and I’m collecting Morrissey’s albums as well, the more récent albums if I see one and reissues of his early vinyls (it’s not usual to find an original in my country). Have you seen The 2017 film on Morrissey, on his pre-Smiths period, « England Is Mine » ? It’s a good film (not great). You can see how he met J. Marr and didn’t care, how he was hired in this first group and how he tried to be an employee in a administration... The end of the film (not a spoiler), he comes to Marr’s door and rings. Nice collection. I only have that purple “we hate it when...” 12” and ouija board 12”, i do have all the smiths Lps though. I saw morrissey about 5 yearsago, after a number of cancellations of course. It was a great show.
I remember the first concert Morrissey played LA. It was at the Hollywood Bowl. My friend and was disappointed that he only played 30 minutes. I think that is what discouraged me from seeing him live.
I was looking forward to this one. Nice to see that cornered the market on his twelve inch releases. I was buying them at a ridiculous pace. I had to get the UK pressing, the German, the domestic, etc.. Finally I realized that that I wanted one and one only. So I grabbed all of the British pressings. I did get some of the domestics like Tomorrow, Suedehead, etc.. But most of them like my singles are the British pressings. I may have to do a follow up Pat. I was reading a few of your comment responses and your response to Bobby Gass's surprised me a bit. Did you mean you lost interest after you grabbed the ones that you showed? Or did you loose interest in his newer music? Either or I am really happy that you are such a big fan of his music. I respected your musical taste immensely before this video and now I respect it even more. Way to go VR~ Rob/Boston
You are not missing much. The last great album that he released in my humble opinion was Maladjusted from 1997. You are the Quarry {2004} and Ringleaders of the Tormentors {2006} were OK. But after that they are uninspiring. I honestly feel that the band he has had for the last ten years are limited. He needs to start writing with Johhny Marr again or even Vini Reilly from Durutti Column who was fantastic on Viva Hate. I just feel that the band he is playing in now except for Boz Boorer needs to get away from Morrissey. Everything sounds the same~

Hi Richie. Nice video. I couldn't get into Morrissey much although I recognize he is definitely one of the few geniuses in music- at least lyrically. My brother had a few records and got into the whole indie thing while I languished for years in heavy metal before finding prog, punk, psych and krautrock. I have recently uploaded my 1st VC video (3 mins long!)- it would be great if you could drop by for a look if you get the time. Cheers. Alan

I like him but I feel the dated production hurts the listeners experience... at least mine. Great artist My sister was infatuated with him and Smith’s.. so I know my shit lol she saw them a couple times and him solo
