Cut down the trees Burn them all to ash Make the flames go high So the smoke covers the sky Suffocate the lungs Breathe in the fumes No hope to change the past This is the road to doom Collapse, all I see The world shall fall around me Nothing left but greed Black wings of death surround me I am destroyer I will make the gods hear me I feel immortal Misery I behold I am destroyer I destroy everything I own I am immortal My stories will be told Dig down the ground Impale the earth Make the whole world tremble Beneath my feet Drain the earth from life Forget the world No hope to turn back time It is our time to die Collapse, all I see The world shall fall around me Nothing, left but greed Black wings of death surround me As we reach the point of no return We will all finally realize It is our destiny, our destiny Our destiny is to fade into extinction I am destroyer I will make the gods hear me I feel immortal Misery I behold I am destroyer I destroy everything I own I am immortal My stories will ne told
I know, they are frikking aweasome! Their new album "Aathma" is released on the 23rd of this month i believe. You can check out their previous albums, my 3 favourites are "Shin-Ken", "Spiritual Migration" and "Core"(in that order).Have fun!
Am I the only one who gets the vibes of the Fleshgod Apocalypse? Not saying it is wrong though, quite enjoying this new MPE, but the symphonic base of this particular song is so strong.
This band is like a darker and fierce Norther! oh and for the record i love the old Norther stuff and to think this band could of disbanded before they meet with Andy..... Thanks Andy for your badass high level song writing and cool/funny personality MPE never disappoints l,,l l..l
To me this is best song for years. It has everything, like angel chorus, absolutelly fantastic riffs, and probably hardest tech riff i've seen for awhile...and it's not arpeggios shit. It's just fucking awesome...
When I look back at all of these over 50 albums I've listened to this year I could call this the year of lyrics.Nothing draw my attention more than good, deep, meaningful lyrics that I felt connected with. In general about this year I have to say that it was overwhelmingly good. Actually I listended to only one bad album - and I already knew before listening that it might won't be the best. So, how can I make a decision? Based on my research the band that I want to honor is relatively unknown. I will give you a quick comparison. Shakira is the most popular artist based on the given Likes on Facebook with 104 million Likes. That is around 10% of all Facebook users. Metallica as the most popular metal act reaches 37 millions likes. The band with the best album this year has only around 34k likes. Shocking! Thats almost nothing. And still I know them already for 10 year or even more. But I'm not really surprised about that because we are talking about Melodic Death Metal, so a genre that is not really mainstream not even in the metal scene. When people think of Melodic Death Metal it is usually about In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy or At the Gates but actually, and with this album is proven to me, this band is the best playing in that style. And I would say that with "The Ghost" there is a song on that album that is the best Melo Death songs of the past few years if not one of the best of all times. I don't like to exaggerate but this combination of fragility and raw harshness is just amazing. In addtion to this combination in many songs you have symphonic elements that would make any so called Symphonic Metal band jealous. The band has used keyboards for years but this time they brought their sound on a new level. Actually it is the logic thing to do when you want to sing about the forces of the universe and the depths of one's inner struggle and pain. Chapeau! for the perfect integration of sound and meaning. Congratulations to Mors Principium Est for their album EMBERS OF A DYING WORLD a future classic of Melod Death Metal. I really hope that the tragic story behind "Death is the Beginning" which is the band's name translation from Latin never happened to one of the band members. Please!
