Coast guard 1: Hey! I see flashing lights there! Coast guard 2: It appears to be... Morse code Coast guard 1: What does it say? Coast guard 2: Like... And subscribe???
i know morse code and this is the thing i used to remember it A = a - Long : .- B = Bob - is - the - man : -... C = Co - ca - Co - la : -.-. D = Dog - did - it : -.. E = eye : . F = fetch - a - Fire - man : ..-. G = Good - Morn - ing : --. H = ha - ha - ha - ha : .... I = i - pad : .. J = to - Jail - Jail - Jail : .--- K = Kan - ga - Roo : -.- L = los - An - gel - es : .-.. M = Moo - Moo : -- N = Nay - vy : -. O = Oh - My - Gosh : --- P = pen - El - O - pe : .--. Q = God - Save - the - Queen : --.- R = ro - Ta - tion : .-. S = sip - sip - sip - sip : ... T = Time : - U = un - der - Wear : ..- V = v - is - for - Verb : ...- W = the - World - War : .- X = X - be - fore - Y : -..- Y = You're - a - Young - Man : -.-- Z = Zo - ol - a - gy : --.. the dats are the syllables that sound longer. this is pretty much easy to remember if you are able to put your mind to it. tho, this is only good for "speaking" morse code yourself. if you hear/see someone use morse code, you have to use your memory from when you would speak morse code yourself.
I learned Morse Code using an app called "Morse Mania", it teaches you letter by letter from easiest to hardest. It starts with E "." and T "-", then M and I and so on. This is also a good method of learning it but it depends on how you want to learn stuff! Edit: how did i get so many likes!
Me and my friend learned Morse code for cheating on an exam about a year ago... We'd tap our fingers on the desk to spell out the words in code. It actually worked and we managed to communicate like 5 answers (isn't really that helpful if you didn't study lol) the teachers had no clue too.
I wanted to learn morse code 3 years ago. Memorized the letters visually and tested myself with audio after a month. Completely different and it felt insanely fast
For anyone who doesn’t know: You can do SOS very easily. Just . . . - - - . . . However, if you forget that, just flash the light or make the noise in groups of 3. Most people, especially rescue teams will recognize this as a deliberate action
can confirm, as a SAR ground team member, we look for absolutely ANYTHING intentional, you could even only make the noise once and we would still take it as a sign of life
@@marktime. makes sense. But repetition helps increase the chance of it being noticed. Especially with stuff like using a reflective object to signal a plane. If it just flashes once, might seem like just a random shiny thing on the ground
@@OctagonalSquare I mean if you are in any trouble hypothetically and you do this code light flashes ...there must be someone who understands the meaning of the codes .... otherwise it's all pointless, right?
One suggestion for learning Morse code is not remembering the dots and dashes but getting the muscle memory and learn the sound pattern then it will be much easier to learn Morse code. I learned by tapping my fingers on the table like pointer finger for dot and thumb for dash, while listening to the sound.
Yeah, people that actually use morse code don't count out the dots and dashes, but remember each letter by its sequence. H is dot dot dot dot, not 1 dot, 2 dot, 3 dot, 4 dot
One problem. Here. Dude 1 - D1 Dude 2 - D2 D1: *International Morse Code* and *does not know American morse* "HELP, STUCK ON ISLAND, FRIEND DEAD" D2: *American Morse* and *Does not know international morse* "Huh, in wonder why he's saying (i cooked a dog and bombed the WTC when i was 10)" "Hm, let me say something... (You kidding dude?)" D1: *International morse* and *Does not know American morse* "WHAT?! HE'S JUST GONNA SAY THAT I SUCK??!" If Y'all don't get it, The two morses are similar but they use different combinations. One person could say "Help" and the other one translates it as "pleh" the original Morse Code used patterns of dots and spaces to represent a few of the letters, whereas the International Morse uses combinations of dots and short dashes for all letters.
@@Ug-lordetheunmovable hey bud morse code was actually meant to be transmitted with sound, the dots and dashes you see are just the beeps put onto paper.
Thank you right after watching this short I immediately went to find for this “hello morse” chart after ~50 minutes I can memorise half of it, really helpful, learning morse code is one of my little goals I wanted the achieve in a while
I tried to Morse code in nullxiety it's just a Roblox game but it was hard when I did to chrome and try to find it in the code without skipping it, I gave up when it was 20 minutes
I learnt morse code a few years back and it's the best thing I've invested my time into. I even write my diary in morse code coz I had it stolen last time and it was pretty embarrassing.
@@MyVideogameTherapy haha I didn’t see it as a complaint! It’s all good :) it’s hard to share links in this series as RU-vid shorts descriptions aren’t really a thing when you upload!
Just remember, all you need is to remember a sequence of letters. It's like ETIANMSURKGO and thats about all I remember. Then put it in a (forgot the name) like 0 /\ E T /\/\ IANM type of thing and every time it goes right, that's a dash, every time it goes left, is a dot
Fun fact SOS doesn't stand for anything😊 It was chosen as the universal sign of needing help because it's extremely easy to remember in Morse code (*** --- ***) Edit I forgot to mention that three knocks is also iconic for being unnatural because only a living creature with the intent of knocking would ever knock three times That's why if you're buried alive in an avalanche it's best to tap three times in a row so that dogs could hear you from far away and unbury you Like imagine you're in a spaceship There's one knock on the hall probably just some debris nothing to worry about There's two knocks on the hall weird but not uncommon as it could have just been debris or the whole creaking Three knocks on the hall 😳something wants in
Hey, just wanted to share the Gospel that all men need, the Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) this means we all deserve death and separation from a perfect and holy God. But God did not leave us for dead, He sent His only begotten Son to die in yours and my place, so that anyone who believes in Him and repents of sin will be saved from separation from God, and have eternal life! I urge you please put your faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him, He promises to save all who cry out to Him and have a humble heart. We arent guaranteed another day so we must seek Him today while He may be found. 🙏
mnemonics are nice, for memorizing things in some situations, but I _highly_ doubt it's really possible to learn Morse code to the point where you can translate 15-20wpm. That requires immediate recall that I don't believe is possible with mnemonics. They're good for a list of 5-10 things, like a grocery list. That's it.
I prefer learning using books and I think this book can help a person who is looking to learn it Morse Code for Beginners - Learn and Practice: Easy Tutorial Workbook Which is from 2Z Publisher I really love thier books
@TheNinja other than is disasters and survival, it's not extremely useful. But I still think it should be taught, cuz u really never know when u might need it.
@@nihartley5265 even in disaster and survival, in most cases flashing a torch any old way will get someone's attention, and "I am here and I need help" is all you need to communicate most of the time. Plus, do you really think a skill you'd learn in school, then not use for years, would be remembered by enough of the population to make a difference? I remember the broad strokes of most of what we were taught, but don't think I would remember a detail that's a few lessons, once
@TheNinja it aint that hard to remember. If it's taught and taught from a young age then people can remember. In fact you don't even need to teach everything, most people don't even know what SOS is. Yes a torch could help, but having other tools can go a long way, plus most people don't know how to make a torch.
If you translate "Master Core" to Morse code, you could get this: -- .- ... - . / -.-. --- .-. . This morse code was hidden in this song halfway through this song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jbh0mOVlnHs.html Go to 1 min, and 54 sec.
Coast guard 1: Hey! I see flashing lights there! Coast guard 2: It appears to be... Morse code Coast guard 1: What does it say? Coast guard 2: subscribe? i like to ask at the middle of the video because you know if you want to subscribe or not and you ARE NOT allowed to subscribe unless you are enjoying this video AND I MEAN IT for the people who watch laughability roblox youtuber-
Coast gaurd 1: THERE SEEMS TO BE FLASHING LIGHTS FROM A ISLAND IS MORSE CODE coast Guard 2: what does it say Coast gaurd: it says "FUCK ME YOU PUSs." Yeah im not finishing that
Hi I recieve morsecode communication all day and all night in both my ears since I reported some metaphysical experiences a few years ago - anyone else share or heard of this experience? Seems to be to try to stop me focussing or to distract me during conversation - I don't know what to do with it - do you think it may be some kind of hidden technology abuse - please do let me know
the only one youre 'EVER realistically going to need is "SOS", because nobody is going to have a convo with you over flashlights nowadays, and "SOS" is pretty self explanatory in what you want when you display it.
Rescuer 1: what is that guy doing? Rescuer 2: is that a Morse code? Rescuer 2: I don't know what is Morse code Rescuer 3: I can read morse code, why does it show, like and fallow? All of the rescuer: let's fallow him.
For anyone who is ever actually stranded you only need to know 1 signal in morse code SOS ...- - -... That's it. It is universally known by rescue services across the world. 3 dots, 3 dashes, 3 dots. if signaling a plane with a light at night. Make the dashes longer this helps tell them apart from the dots.
All you need is …- - - … though. Universal sign for SOS. Most people that would be able to recognise these signals don’t even look for proper forming of the acronym, just the repetition of three.
Well you actually just use • • • - - - • • • That mean SOS signal so if you lost in wood or somewhere except town and village and see rescue helicopter/vehicle you just give SOS morse code
I alr learned Morse code it's not hard at all just get a Morse code reader, type the alphabet and remember as many of the dots and lines as possible, then erase the alphabet and try to do it in Morse code. If you don't remember one, just erase your progress and add the letters you forgot. And then eventually, -.-- --- ..- / .-- .. .-.. .-.. / ..- -. -.. . .-. ... - .- -. -.. / -- --- .-. ... . / -.-. --- -.. . :D
