Late to the party, but many of the older deathgrinders also had unique vocals (but perhaps not what someone into bdm is looking for i guess). Stuff like Prophecy of Doom, (early) Subsanity, Impetigo, Dead Infection, Catasexual Urge Motivation, Ulcerous Phlegm, Necrobiosis to name a few. The early to mid/late 90s was a good fun time.
ye boy, still kicking lots of asses to majority of recently new releases, and this new trend in brutal death metal, wall of noise, fake af without any substance.
Disgusting, this is fantastic! This band and Repudilation are what people should be talking about in terms of “slam” or just brutal death metal. Not the high majority of shit posted on Slam Worldwide, it’s a shame so many bands just use programmed drums, and over layered production now.
@Mafwi Okay yeah I hear ya, I’m not really a big slam guy unless you’re talking 90’s stuff (or Devourment haha). You ever heard Necrocide before? They have a demo called Vomit Forth Blood you just gotta hear if you haven’t! Also this is leaning more towards grind, but Malicious Hate - In The Name of Hate is also worth checking out.
@@dinguswiffle1866 I agree man. The early slam stuff like Repudilation. Dripping. Devourment. Internal Bleeding. Is just so good. We can’t forget Afterbirth aswell
Most of the stuff on slam worldwide is slamcore slam mixed with deathcore and sometimes metalcore plus it all sounds the same at least with oldschool slam you can tell the difference Internal Bleeding sounds different from devourment and devourment sounds different than artery eruption for example
You're right Jake. Old School DM still slays. There's never going to be anything quite like it, and those of us that were in that scene in the 90's will never forget it.
Nespithe was 93 and gutted pulp even before this in 92. Lesch Nyan is also a contender in 91. Mortal decay absolutely is amongst the ranks of setting the bar
