Growing up, Kenshi has always been my personal favorite character. I always liked the whole idea of a blind swordsman and I think that idea is executed very well with Kenshi. With MK1 being the first game in a while that Kenshi has been in, I was incredibly happy for him to be in the game period. Him being top 1 or at the very least tied for top 1 makes me incredibly happy.
Sonic fox has his own tier list that applies to him, and not 99.99% of other players. You'd think after all these years people would realize. You're better off looking a tweed or foxy grandpa to guage a more accurate tier list.
I mean, this is about as accurate as a tier list can get at the professional level, though of course it's filled with biases that's just how these things work. But absolutely, tier lists don't apply to 99% of players, especially sonic foxes. People just find it fun and sometimes get too invested at how good characters are at a top level compared to where they currently stand.
It’s a little weird seeing some of these characters high up but I can understand why. That being said, it’s going to change again now that Tremor is out for preorder players so we might see an interesting new dynamic
Shao doesnt even need a kameo for his damage. I think for him, his kameo should supplement his lack of projectiles or allow him to combo from his overhead, giving him a genuine 50/50 mix up. The damage he gains from someone like scorpion or goro doesn't merit losing his ability to quickly cover full screen or lose his 50/50s. Ive been using him since day 1 and have been saying hes nowhere near as bad as others say he is. Edit: tanya, kitana, and sub zero are the hardest for me to deal with online. Tanya has the best range in the game, and as a shao main, that neutralizes his biggest strength

It was interesting for me to see how Sindel has been developed. I'd been watching Koisy shmix people with her, but I actually thought maybe her zoning wasn't that good since he didn't use it that much. But then I saw Sonic absolutely abuse the projectiles in their own videos. And in the video where they made this tier list, Koisy showed up in the chat and Sonic told him that combining their neutral with Koisy's setups was the more optimal way to play her.
As a Reptile main, I can definitely agree with his placement. He's not the best, but he's definitely not the worst. He's not all too great with combos, but he takes defense better and is better as a punish character.
crazy that everyone is just glossing over havik in bottom 3 and not acknowledging him being there but everyone was trying to put him way higher than he is in sonics tier list
As a Sindel player, I do agree with Sonicfox. She can do anything she want. She can be played with any kameo. Hell, she can even change her playstyle in the middle of the game. She's the most perfect Character for me.
I've been playing a lot of geras since the game came out, And it's incredibly fun learning him, my favorite moment in his gameplay is when you learn to do a double time stop combo, The style of that alone wins me over
kenshi / tremor is best pair you could have, it adds range when you toss projectiles with tremor and you can also apply rock armor to yourself so you can go in with the tanto stance or just using the regular sword but either way kenshi is a dope fighter.
And their pronouns are they/them. Singular They has existed for longer than plural they, by the way. The word "they", when first created, was to refer to people you didn't know, as you weren't certain of their gender. Nowadays, it is also used as a way for non-binary people to refer to themselves. Plus, I'm pretty certain if someone talked to you about someone else you didn't know, you'd use "they" subconsciously.

Oh and things relating to gender and transgender stuff isn't a mental illness, that classification was removed after many studies found no link whatsoever.

First i will say sonicfox isnt always right. I remember him saying the ssj vegeta was trash in dbfz and then got washed by go1 using him. But besides that i actually agree with the list mostly. Alot of the characters that i said were better then people were giving credit are placed where i thought. And as a shao main i feel vindicated.
Idk id put reptile below smoke... Sure reptile gets free invisibility but it takes time to activate and some characters can teleport to you in that time ... Just food for thought 😅 not to mention hes unsafe in everything most people jump over his projectile and the amount of times i use the close on to counter the jump and it disappears as they are right on it is sad 😂 but decent list and i agree in the right hands any character works
@@Kitsune986 maybe w sub 0 armor or a freeze of frost freeze for sure... Idk how scorpion would... Resetting full screen doesnt guarantee invisibility when many characters can teleport... And most things that I can pop invisibility on would also mean giving up a solid 30%+ combo just to go invisible for 5 seconds 😂 the most convenient ive noticed for myself is against players who sit and block and wait for you to be unsafe on block.
@@HashiramaSells 1.) Dude, watch HoneyBee, lol. He uses Scorpion for guaranteed invisibility setups. HoneyBee has literally hit SonicFox and other pro players with invisible Reptile to success 2.) You're going invisible for mix, increasing your chances of getting a hit and doing damage. It's that simple. 3.) With Scorpion, you're still doing over 30% before going invisible 4.) 5 seconds in a fighting game is basically a year, lol
@@Kitsune986 yea until they sit and block low im a corner which the only way you can start a combo off that is w the charged overhead and if im too far itll drop the combo at the end and if im too close ill just go over them... And normally thats easy to figure out but if im invisible its a bit different... Sure theres pros who know how to make things work for them i prefer not watching videos on my main and learning myself and by fighting and losing to better players and learning off that. Whats the fun if I watch what someone else figured out get this really high damage safe combo all from watching a YT video 😂

SonicFox isn't always right, he makes some bad calls sometimes. Nonetheless, I just like watching, I don't know ir care how to play MK1 vs MK11(I dropped it a year before MK1).
The new strat with raiden is to pair him with kano and either teleport or superman fly to the other side of the screen, activate kano knives and then teleport or fly back. So essentially you dont even see kano appear but his knives come out and hit you. Its pretty fucking cheap.
With the way mk1 is I feel like there should be 2 tier lists one just the characters and the other the characters with there best kamo partner or just make one massive list with the characters on there own and each kamo for every character

Separating characters from assists is just ridiculous since assists are literally hard baked into the game. I get you've never played an assist game before, but please just stop. @@Kitsune986 assuming I haven't played a fighting game with assists is retarded umvc3 and fighers are all about assist but you can get away with not using them with certain characters hell Virgil in umvc 3 is so good he doesn't need assist I'm just saying having a proper list that shows who works best with who like how ssj vegetas A assist is a good combo tool but he's not needes for certain characters
I have been watching your videos for years now and i think this is my first comment. That being said, I am a father of 2 and only get to play about an hour a night. I enjoy all the single player versions of this game but I am wondering what character I should focus on for online play. So far I am pretty good with raiden but I am wanting to try something new
As a omni man main i agree.what atops him from going into hard s+ is his weakness to low rush down and that mids are also his weakness in terms of tool kit.my friend is a raiden main and i agree purely because of that low rush down amd that allot of his moves are really safe, especially with the right cameo
Ya know what is crazy? I have watched many MK1 tier lists & I have noticed one thing..."moma" Sindel is totally the "Queen of Extremes." In the many MK1 tier lists I have watched on here on RU-vid, She is either in the top 5 or the bottom 5; No happy mediums. I'm feel very justified that the best professional MK1 player to date agrees with me about putting "the Queen" in the top 3.
The sentiment is nice, but no. Some characters in fighting games are genuinely so awful that the only way they can be "God tier" is if your opponent is a complete noob
I want to be fair. Sonicfox's list is opinion, and its intended for pro level, but what did he gain from throwing shade at the majority of the fanbase, and why? (For those not in the know he said 99% of MK's fanbase opinions are dogwater). Nothing against you Underdawg, maybe you saw the tweet later or want to distance yourself from it and focus on the material. I was a fan of him, and yes I see dumb opinions sometimes (not 99% of the time...) but that was really unnecessary and I imagine not true. The plus side? The ole saying don't meet your heros* You don't need to meet your hero to be disappointed, when they can disappoint you from home. I lost my respect for him.
and like every other tier list people put out, 70% of the roster is in the INCREDIBLE OMG SO GOOD tier. tier lists should be a bell curve. if everyone is incredible, no one is incredible
I been rocking havik all week (just got the game) I get bodied online more times then not but I can still get some surprise wins with havik have unlocked all his brutalities and fatalities let me know who I should run next
Shang tsung is by far the best especially if you don't actually main as anyone, but have a grasp on most of them and go ballistic with the options of young/old/morph
Just got a PS5 for Christmas. First game I bought is mk1 my favorite character is sub zero and they did him dirty😂 I wanna play with him but not if he sucks lol
As a Sub main I have to say depending on the day, I sometimes literally back out when I see Raiden Jax combo. Shit is borderline unplayable against sometimes
I can agree with this list for the most part. But what I really need is a character that can parry!! Like Sonya!! Or honestly any character that can parry like her, high parry, low parry like come on!
I think sonic fox is right that every character in this game is good if you match it with the right character but if you want to make a truely accurate tier list make it after the 3 goats of mortal Kombat made theres that being sonic fox ninjakilla and scorpionprocs then build a tier list of that every character in this game is capable of doing massive damage but this list will change in the coming years with out a doubt in my mind
@@BearClawz2-xl9kr tbh it’s either a troll from Ed or it’s true either way as long as the voice actor gets the Homelander feel of how he speaks I’m all good it doesn’t have to be the exact same actor inp for example GOW change voice actors yet both had that Kratos voice and their rage felt the same so you still know it’s Kratos and doesn’t feel off. Nothing will beat Megan Fox so it should good 🤷🏽♂️

As a Havik main I would have to disagree with Sonic. I mean he is probably right but I think he is more on par with Kung Lao and Tanya. His has some of the best buttons in the game like back 4 is the best and back 2. Even down 4 is almost as good as reptiles. Plus you can have 3 projectiles in the air at the same time.
I think the thing that would help sub zero is actually having a good ice ball because it sucks in this game make itnso you can combo into it from the ground or add the fast ice ball from mkx which good combo on ground from most strings with a meter burn. Please give me your insight trueunderdawggaming
