@@angelsinthere they kinda had no where to go with the story after 11, they not only killed off all the elder gods, but the one rebooting time it self to cause endless fighting. How they try to depict god Lu Kang as different then chronca remains to be seen, cuz this is the first time the universe was rebooted by someone else technically so we will see how that goes. So it should be a whole new story, since the elder gods and dragon god are probably not in this timeline like the original mk timelines.
This also takes place during the very first Mortal Kombat Tournament between Earth and Outworld with Kung Lao the Great, which is why Shang Tsung is so young. If y'all remember the MK TV show this takes place during the same time period.
@@angelsinthere mk9 reboot was part of the timeline for kronika it was meant to happen as show in mk11 they been other timeline versions of them doing the same thing over and over again This is a blank slate no kronika time loop just Liu Kang as a god
It looks like Kung Lao is like the Kung lao from the original timeline. A pacifist that wants to sit in peace. At least I hope so. I hated how arrogent and egotistical they made him in MK 9-11. From what I remember, in the original timeline, Kung Lao was actually the one chosen to be the champion but he resfused because he is a pacifist so they chose Liu Kang. Also, LIU KANG FINALLY HAS A BANGER FINISHER.

@@lord-of-the-shinobi-world II don't think that's it. The Scorpion only existed after the death of his clan and the Subzero rivalry was not that old. Doesn't make sense to put Raiden who is now mortal with the Great Kung Lao instead of his actualy student Kung lao who he thinks of as a son. We don't know how old Milenna is. After all, she was lab ground in MK 9 so it could be the same or it could be different in this timeline. Lastly, not a lot of people will be happy if we played a MK game without the original cast, especially Johnny Cage. It doesn't even make sense to make an MK game at Great Kung Lao time period. Most of the characters care for are in the modern era
@@moustafaabousalem1411 Shirai Ryu had a long history with the Lin Kuei clan long time ago in the past. Before Hanzo, there were a bunch of assassins like him. Before Kuai Liang, there were a bunch as well. The Shirai Ryu clan was formed by a former member of the Lin Kuei clan. Two clans have different rules, so they are at war with each other all the time. And maybe this time, Mileena is not a clone of Shang Tsung anymore. What does not make sense here, is how does Shang Tsung look so young, and still survive? How did he end up in Aftermath?

You wanna know where this reboot/continuation thing also happened? In JoJo part 6 to part 7, MEANING...MORTAL KOMBAT is a JOJO reference!

Yeah Liu Kang merged with Raiden in the last chapter of MK 11 and became Fire God Liu Kang he defeated Kronika and became the new Keeper Of Time. He reset everything.
I'm glad everyone became good friends and there was no violence to be seen and Im so glad that this trailer show that Kitana and Mileena are getting along. That's something that I wished was explored in the New Timeline games of Mortal Kombat. Hell, I'd loved this even more if they confirmed that Kitana sees Mileena as a sister. and I love how they revealed Mileena almost immediately to avoid the pitchforks lol
as far as assists go, i think in MvC 1 the assists weren't necessarily apart of the main roster. I don't think any of them were originally, but its been a while.
No, it was the last game. The DLC was a continuation of the plot with Lui Kang meeting the 3 people (I forgot the names) and having to fight one of them who betryed him at the end.
Honestly Capcom destroyed the MvC franchise with Infinite, so there's a gap in the fighting game industry 👌🏾👌🏾 They're perfectly poised to take over that throne 🤌🏽🤌🏽 tough TIT-TAY CAPCOM! 😂😂😂
They are going where they have left off because god tier luke cane is the in the game. We are starting from his making of the beginning of the new MK era. So this is game 12, they just gave it the title of the first game. So I don't think this is a reboot I think this is a new Season in Mk gaming. ITs looks epic and I cant wait to check it out.
If they want this game to last I hope that they move away from the pick the most optimal moves and everybody does the same combo. This has killed majority of their games in tournaments because nobody wants to watch that shit.
