That big smile Liu Kang gets when Johnny thanks him, you can just feel him thinking, “and that’s why I picked you, Johnny even if you’re always annoying at the start”
Actually scorpion was the best fighter for the ending. Both are mk's poster boy. And the line fits liu kang plan on helping kuia liang on founding shirai ryu.
I just don’t understand how the character with Liu Kang can beat the deadly alliance but Liu Kang himself can’t? I know I know, power scaling in MK since it’s conception has been inconsistent for the most part I mean anyone can have a bad day fighting But there were some rules, And these are both Titans, how come Raiden, Geras, or whomever be strong enough on their own to beat Titans? Why not just have Liu Kang and Raiden team up together?
These are all different characters from different time lines. I presume you play the BEST of that certain character that you choose at the bottom of the pyramid. Then fight your way to the top. Your strength as said character is on par with liu Kang via this timeline.
I agree with you. They could have even made Liu Kang the last chapter tbh. This story was the last decent one since MK9, but still the devs underdelivered in certain areas.
Lui kang earlier in the story says that he forsake his titan powers so as not to go mad like kronika did. So it makes sense he is weaker than other titans, and even when he regained his titan power it hurt him somehow as he says it made him no longer immortal.
I can’t wait for the next game Where they start a new timeline And the bad guys get turned to sand Then they start a new timeline And the bad guys get turned to stand So they start a new timeline 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ye great they killed shang tsung and quin chi, nice, they will come back because of the plot hole of multiverses they developed, so all this doesn't even matter XD what a bunch of crap lore is this when nothing is permanent, nothing matters
@@ZacShallow5682 Not sure where but he said it in the ending. Plus Mortal Kombat has turned into Rick and Morty when NRS got hold of it so you know he is not done for.
@@ZacShallow5682 i think Lui Kang flat out says it in his arcade ending too. You know MK cant do nothing with Shang Tsung these days. They dont have the guts to since Tobais aint doing most of the writing.
I picked Raiden too. It was fitting imo because Liu Kang’s chose him as his champion and also because he earned it. Although I want to do it with Kung Lao as well as a way to give him the spotlight, he absolutely deserves it imo
this whats makes the finale intresting you dont need to follow the script on who's the top main character but you got to choose your favorite mk rosters as the champion to beat the final boss
I choose Liu kang because i thought im gonna get the Main timeline liu kang to finish them, turns out it was a different timeline liu kang😒 i should have picked Raiden
@jamichealruiz daaaamn right 🤣🤣🤣 And I love how he was just like "lemme just go slide up on outta here before I get fataled" Homie knew what he was doing bro 😂😂😂
I love how outrageously greedy Shang Tsung is. He literally gained infinity and omnipotence of his own timeline and went "But i want infinity and one..."
Lol thats true but I can also see it more so on the view of “Liu Kang my arch nemesis is still alive” and he’d do anything to win. Even though they both get their own timelines and were the winner in each, I can understand why he’d still want to be the objective winner.
Dude could just tell nothing to Lui Kang and reigns without problems but he decided to defy Lui Kang Titan and ALL THE ANOTHER and create a MULTIDIMENSIONAL WAR ACROSS THE MULTIVERSE 💀💀💀💀💀💀
My favorite fight cutscene in the whole game because Liu Kang was ready for them this time. I wanted him to snap their necks so bad like “remember this”
Strange isn't it?It is because Shang Tsung has been nerfed by an extreme amount of how powerful he should be, but no one has the brain capacity to figure out why.Overall though you can clearly see something is wrong during the fights.
I'm not seeing this said anywhere, but if you analyze the choreography to this fight, you will see callbacks to *every single 3D intro.* Deadly Alliance hands are being thrown. Raiden vs The Deadly Alliance with the spin kick. You even see *Zombie* Liu Kang's movements at one point when they're just at a stalemate of blocking each other. *The SNAKE* is even the thing that shuts him down. Sure, it's green this time, but Quan Chi was the one who got the sneak attack off like that in DA so it fits just as well.
Whenever liu kang and shang tsung fight each other it gives a feeling of huge war because this game has begun from fight of liu kang and shang tsung and end with liu kang and shang tsung fight. Shang tsung should always win in canon parallel timeline otherwise we will not able to see best shang tsung look or his Titan look
Shang Tsung is not just a Titan, he is more powerful than that, but Netherrealm nerfed him so that Liu Kang would look more convincing winning.I can tell you a lot of proof as to why Shang Tsung wins, but of course no one will believe, but the reality is Shang Tsung wins not in Kombat, but the in overall power, but his powers were nerfed extremely.
Shang Tsung was meant to win this battle which is why you were able to recognize something is wrong during the fight, you just haven't looked further at what is going on behind the scenes and why Liu Kang should be losing along with Raiden.
Also this is another problem with the “choose your character” chapter. Cus it leads to dumb shit like:”Well Raiden you did it, maybe we’ll see each other again someday” Next cutscene “Hey Raiden, what’s for lunch.”
It is another Raiden from another Timeline. Not the Raiden we saw in the tea house scene. Same goes to Shao Kahn, and Reiko, they both died. But the one we can choose in the final battle is the alternate version from other timelines.
@@Gamfluentno they aren't the whole roster is from Liu Kangs timeline, It's kind of goofy and corny but that's MK for you afterall Liu Kang isn't smart enough to realize the whole timeline wasn't collapsing which led him into this stupid statement. And his timeline is technically their timeline as he is their creator who shaped their paths in his image.
I love the tiny detail of a shakey “I ii am glad” like all Liu wanted was to preserve the best for those he knew deserved better lives. Hearing that from Johnny Cage one of his best friends from who knows how many eons ago mustve been the best feeling ever for Liu. Johnny loves his life and I just wish Sonya had been a part of it but hopefully in the future. Liu has plans for Cassie Cage, but no mention of Sonya. I’m wondering if it’s bc Sonya dies for her family or something and he wants to change that. Idk I just hope they’re all together. Johnny deserves the best and so does everyone else
I picked Liu thinking it would be the Liu from our timeline. 1v1 Liu v Shang. That’s how it should’ve been. Instead I got a Liu that I don’t care about. Best Liu skin tho 👍🔥👌
That Liu Kang is our Liu Kang, he became Keeper of time after he defeated Kronika in MK 11, but it is our Liu Kang we been Fighting along side with, all these years the same Liu Kang that was brutally murdered and turned into a Zombie, and unfortunately eventually became a revenant
@@pixelmon-ou7ll like he said in one of his intro ; he will try to take all power he Can have ; tho that is Logic if others timeline exist he want to control them ; he is evil After all .
I think that the victories that Raiden had in chapter 3 of the Story Mode of that video game were just a warm-up for that double battle against the Deadly Alliance between Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.
There's strange moment in post-credits scene. Shang Tsung's timeline meant to be destroyed due to Shang Tsung death. But it didn't. So probably somehow that Shang Tsung resurrected.
Liu kang: once again madam bo you have served and EXCELLENT meal! Madam Bo: that’s kind of you to say Aka* she knows that’s code name for I’m finna dine and dash on my chosen protectors ass 😂 Liu kang think he slick gassin them up with compliments and wisdom to bicycle kick that ass away from paying the bill 😂
I like the ending bit, but I honestly can't really stand the whole timeline stuff. I had really wished and hoped that this game wouldn't have anything of that in it. It's a real shame that it does and by the tease at the end credits it seems like we'll get more of this timeline bull.
I picked Baraka. I might get a lot of flak for that but, honestly, I've been picking Baraka since MK 2; I'm not gonna give up on my homeboy for the sake of story on my first playthrough. That said, on my second fight through this, I may use Scorpion instead. If for no other reason than he's supposed to prove that the Shirai Ryu are more than capable of being Earthrealm's defenders now that the Lin Kuei's honor is tarnished. Also because he's my second main.
Shang Tsung literally had an entire timeline to himself. He had everything he ever wanted. But because he had to be a petty little b*tch and tried destroying the timeline where Liu Kang won, he lost everything.
Anyone else kinda find the way they died underwhelming? I feel like Mortal Kombat of all games should have a lot more of a violent demise for the villains.
Fire/lightning god Liu Kang was one of the few things the story did really well. It's almost impossible not to like him. An all powerful god with the modesty of Keanu Reeves. Yes. It's basically Keanu Reeves as god.
I gotta say: I was REALLY disappointed when I found out Aftermath’s Shang Tsung survived Aftermath-but also crossed with Fire God Liu Kang, because I wanted to see a spin-off game that followed his ending and involved Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (the remaining realms that Shang Tsung had yet to conquer) fighting for their survival-and make in the style of Dynasty Warriors
They nerfed him way too much. He was a god of thunder and fire, so OP that he was packing Saitama's serious series serious punch level of punches and with his martial arts skills and powers making him reach levels like those of Vegeta and Goku to a certain point and he had Earthrealms Jinsei flowing through him, which could make him even more powerful if needed. I found it so unnecessary seeing him in this game getting beat up by characters who usually shouldn't even land a hit on him if he fought with just one arm.
If the devil is the Father of lies then Shang is the son. This man doesn’t have a honest bone in his body. He can’t be trusted in any time line. What’s so crazy is that Shang had to disguise his self as Kronika just for Shang to trust him. Shang not trusting another Shang. So, I don’t understand how can anybody else.
