ahem, thank you so very much guys for coming & listening to this version of mine! I just rearranged it to be more complete. It's not at all possible without Ed Boon & all the great people taking part in the creation of this series that we still talk to this very day. It's unfortunate that MK1 has been a completely broken game with only Johnny, Khameleon & John Cena in all the pro tourneys I see, but at least the main theme will still remain in our hearts. :)

Now that Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath was out, among with the FRIENDSHIPS OMG THOSE ARE THE BEST, it made me look back on the days when MK11 wasn't out yet. Specifically that awesome launch trailer with that absolutely badass remix of the original MK theme by Techno Syndrome.

I was waiting SO LONG so that one day that song's complete version will be out, and then I realized that it was out by the artist Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
since August last year! Only it's the same version as in the trailer with all the awkward cuts............

So I thought hey, I'll just make my own complete version of this song out of all the parts I can get, and here it is. I hope it satisfies you guys who want to hear the complete version back then like I did!
Personal note: this should be the song for Aftermath's final battle so everything comes full circle back to the film. XD

Mortal kombat should never end, just have countless reboots and live forever. I wasn't a fan of the plot of Liu Kang becoming evil and Raiden becoming a tyrant but considering where it went now the story is something I can appreciate.

If you didn’t know, it’s because when you make a video game or a movie the ost is the last thing composers do. So when a trailer is dropped the soundtrack is not done yet so they have to reuse a song or remix it or even make a new one.

The games IP is owned by Warner Bros, the MK theme is owned by their arch-rivals Universal. It cost them an arm and a leg to even get this for the trailer. Publishing it on the OST would be another pile of money.

Yeah, the other versions just uses the version that's in the trailer with the awkward pauses, so I made my own version. Shame that the official version doesn't cut the pauses as well, would've loved to hear the announcer speaking the fighter names with the epic beats. XD

it really is. But I think part of it is that the original Song is copyrighted probably to a music studio, since the original theme was made for the movie it probably doesn't belong to DC entirely. They probably use it for promotional material like trailers purely because the cost to use it in the actual game and the contract negotiations concerning royalties are things they don't want to deal with.
