@@Senile_Yeti I know I'm late, but it sounds like it was an editing mistake, that whisper sounds like the VA ending the take. The audio files weren't cut off right and it was left in.
You can't get much better than Kai reacting to the literal God of Thunder congratulating him with the same enthusiasm as if someone asked if he wanted to see a movie but he just wants to go home "Ehhhh thanks Raiden but I've already seen Thor, I'll catch you later"
the PS version is just as hilarious. check out the face Quan Chi makes. and the scene zooms out instead of zooming in, showing that yes, Scorpion remains just standing there next to him.
depends - if they were well painted pictures of the characters, those would've given a comic strip feeling to it, making it more legit than this comedy :D
Imagine spending all your quarters on getting through the game as a character, only for them to be killed in the ending cutscene(as Reptile was for me.) 6:02 ........I'm guessing the Boons ran out of ideas for endings. 8:22 , XD! 10:07 "......Arright."
I think in the ps1 version it shows him wearing Shao Kahn's helmet. I think before John Tobias left Midway, they used to have a planned storyline where Reiko was Shao Kahn all along but they never followed through with that. In mk Deception, Shao Kahn gives you a quest to find Reiko to find out why he has been going inside his throne room to wear his helmet at night, referencing the ending. It turns out, he just envies the throne which is why he likes wearing it so much.
The only reason to even play Mortal Kombat 4, is because of these genius cutscenes haha. PS1 is more bland. But N64, is just so insanely funny that its worth to just have it for that on the console
The N64 version of MK4 is far superior to the PS1 version if your talking about in game graphics and gameplay! Both are much smoother! Not to mention no load times, which makes for a more enjoyable experience! The only thing the PS1 version had over the N64 port was the FMV endings, but as one poster already said, the MK4 arcade didn’t have FMV style endings either. Therefore, N64 felt much more like the arcade. I owned both versions in the 90’s. After watching all the endings on PS1 I never bothered with it again. The load times killed it for me. I only played the N64 port, and gotta say MK4 was the best fighting game for this system.
@@JasonRainwater No idea what you're talking about. Watch this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tc-SoEmvQW0.html Pause at random parts to see how grainy the graphics are on the N64 - not to mention how inferior the music and sound is. Like the N64 itself, it was all hype and didn't stand the test of time. The playstation on the other hand...
