I always liked that they drop a hint at the events of MK Armageddon through blaze. If you talk to him after regaining his memories, he mentions having to wake up Taven and that Daegon is already awake
Gotta love this game's logic. Scorpion confronts his long-hunted nemesis...and lets Shujinko fight him. Li Mei needs to be trained...and Shujinko turns into her and beats her up to do it.
Just lazy ass developing and animating! This was a triple A+ game! There’s no excuse for it and it aged horribly! There’s plenty of games around this time that aged very well

To be honest, I feel i've been slacking a bit with the upload schedule. But I'm trying to go for quality over quantity. The next walkthrough will be a horror game, but prior to that i'll probably do some random retro game playthroughs.

I bet Quan Chi and Shang Tsung told Kano that the citizens of Outworld must be kept indoors because they will die, if they refuse to obey Shao Kahn. Shujinko convinces Hotaru to fight the Deadly Alliance (Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.) but Hotaru refuses to fight both Sorcerers who killed Liu Kang and chooses to arrest Shujinko because he disobey Hotaru's law. Hotaru told him you are supposed to remain in doors when the alarm sounded. Shujinko responded to Hotaru that I have no knowledge of this ordinance. Hotaru responded to Shujinko that ignorance is not an excuse, I am placing you under arrest for disregarding the laws of Seido. Havik kills Onaga by ripping his heart out and giving it to Shao Kahn in his arcade ending. Havik and Shao Kahn both like chaos, while Hotaru and Onaga both like order. Hotaru sided with the Dragon King, because he wants to bring order to all the realms. Havik sided with Shao Kahn because he wants to bring chaos to all realms. Havik and Hotaru. Onaga and Shao Kahn. Havik is Chaos and Hotaru is Order.
Thats a good point, although Onaga was no diferent than Shao Kahn as the dragon king also likes chaos but thats just my opinion. But mine would have change if onaga was in the Reboot and we may learn about Onaga.

Konquest makes so little sense at this point! Raiden says that the DA are a thing now, yet the battle against the two apparently happens 20 years after that, as Onaga was revived that year.

Li Mei to me is the type of character who if a game doesn't include her in some form, then it wouldn't change a thing for me. Very forgettable character.
She's alright imo. Her combos are good but she is forgettable and a character who probably won't ever appear again in the future despite her brief cameo in X.
Mr. Ash her character is lacking in my opinion, just like how Midway/Netherrealm Studios lacked other characters like Sareena, Fujin, C(K)ameleon, Kintaro, Kira, Shujinko, Ashrah, Taven, Nitara, Human Reptile, Moloch/Dramin

You know what would have made more sense? For Shujinko to say that he learned the Mi Zong style from Bo Rai Cho. Why? Because Bo Rai Cho used that style in Deadly Alliance.
Hey for that johnny cage challenge its not hard to get a 12 hit with scorpion, i can do a 13 hit actually Start with the spear then in hapkido style do triangle, x, up+circle...up+circle again..then branch from hapkido to the mugai ryu sword and when you land it youll get 13 hits, might take a couple tries tho
Would only make sense to criticize the Aussie accent if the rest of the voice acting in this game was good, which it isn’t. Everyone sounds ridiculous in Konquest
Something I see in this game’s Konquest mode is that it treats it as if it’s some prequel to the first MK game. Then up until you meet Nightwolf and return from Netherrealm again, now it starts to act as if you’re in the DA era. Which is odd considering most characters (such as Bi Han, Smoke, etc) were already changed long before MK1 was supposed to take place. The pacing is really weird.
