@@AlvinFlang69420 have you seen the movie? If not then don’t complain about a script you don’t know, special effects you haven’t fully seen, and choreography you haven’t fully seen. And yes to answer your question, the authenticity in this movie and shown by the director and producers is very important
@@AlvinFlang69420 the movie isnt even out yet. Are you hating on something just because its "cool"? Have you ever even played any MK game? No, 20 min of online matches before rage quitting on MK11 doesnt count
Even for people who haven't played the games or know the story, if a family is happy and alive during this type of setting, you just know something bad is gonna happen.
Joe Taslim really captures the cold killer look and feel of Sub Zero/Bi Han and Hiroyuki Sanada captures the emotion and pent up rage of Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi.
Gotta love the face of Hanzos wife. She's like: "Why would you tell me you love me at the beginning of a movie, do you really want me to die that badly?"
Seriously? They're nothing alike. Bruce's parents were shot. A quick and relatively painless death. Scorpion's family slaughter was/is far worse by magnitudes.
Wow, the way he gently took her hands and dusted them off was beautiful. It spoke volumes about how much he loved and respected his hard-working wife. One of those small ways to say something kind to someone you love without even using words.
Hiroyuki Sanada has been a favorite Japanese actor of mine ever since The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. Im glad he is finally being appreciated in American cinema.
Your comment shows you're still a child who haven't watched some hit movies in the past. He's been appreciated a long time ago anywhere in the world. Rush Hour with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, The last samurai with Tom Cruise, Wolverine with Hugh Jackman and many more.
Can't believe Hiroyuki Sanada was 59 years old when he filmed this with his own stunts. He had so much energy to filmed those fight scenes for a 59 year old man and He doesn't aged like at all!! 😱
@@JynxedKoma he's Indonesian. Even some Chinese here in comments section suspects his Language. He can't speak Chinese but at least he tried for the movie 🤷
Many non-japanese may not recognize his name..... But they sure will his face Hiroyuki sanada has played so many badass characters throughout the years.... For most us he was the introduction to Japan and it's culture
The choreography is clean man. Beautiful camera work, no random jump cuts/shaky cams, moves look brutal but still flashy. This is how you translate a fighting game to the big screen.
Funny that the actor himself is a very soft-spoken and humble guy with zero grandstanding... (Mind you, when a Japanese like me says someone is humble it means he's ridiculously humble lol)
The two they picked to play scorpion and subzero are perfect. Dude that's playing scorpion is icon from many movie's one being Best of the Best. Dude playing zero same dude that whoop Han and Rome butt in fast and furious. We waited years for this let's goooooooooo
It's his war cry - like in The Last Samurai when he gives his war command to his samurai warriors. Here he shows both his tender side with his wife and family, but then you go and kill his family. He's lethally pissed off now and it's no holds barred!!!
Let it be known that history will now be rewritten that this is the one and only face of Scorpion. You can all forget that other one from the video games which looks like Chuck Norris. The world thanks you, Master Hiroyuki Sanada.
@@GRAVYBEATS If you're trying to spell it correctly in English, you had it right the first time (Can't). If this is some joke etc, then apologies it has gone way over my head.
THANK YOU for keeping the languages authentic and not dubbing it all into English. And shout out to the martial arts masters Sanada and Taslim. You guys look and sound EPIC!
Not sure what's gonna come out of Shang Chi, looked kinda mediocre for me...same for Snake Eyes(I didn't even know that was a thing) . But MK is a big success indeed :)
Hiroyuki Sanada and Joe Taslim will forever be Scorpion and Sub-zero for me now! Dream casting! Love how they speak their characters native tongues too
@@leeabrahams9889 You dont play/know Mortal Kombat? He is the Gentlemen who has lost his Wife and Son in that Trailer and than proceed to.... COME OVER HERE!
Before he became Scorpion💀🔥, the scene of how Hanzo slashed his enemies (with his sword) is sick, but brutal at the same time like an authentic Mortal Kombat video game.
Mr HIROYUKI SANADA was really a great at all time, and great warrior.Well skilled actor.i love this man so much.always take care to your fighting scenes.
He's like the Japanese Kratos, and I'm down with that!!!...So dope to finally see these characters get the treatment on the silver screen they deserve!!!...
Okay I’ll be the only one to say it but that part where hanzo is wrapping up his blade with the dark theme playing and the part where bi-han stands up with that bass boost just makes this scene more badass😩🔥
All my respect to one of my favourite japanese actors, legendary Hiroyuki Sanada! 🙌🙌🙌 Also, Joe was made for the role of Sub Zero - casting is so on point for these two 👌😁
Perfect Sub Zero and Scorpion! Could not have picked better actors for these parts. You can tell a lot of love and respect for the source material went into this project. Looking forward to seeing this on Friday!
