The announcer of MK 2, 3, always had an amazing voice and variation to the way he said each characters name. Gave lore to them without actually displaying it all from just his voice! Dude is legend.
MKX is the first I played! Even 9 was around when I was more of a kid and tween so I couldn't play it and even now I don't want to because of the aged graphics lol. I played Injustice for years and finally got to play Mortal Kombat X and 11 a year or two ago when I moved out. I'm playing X again right now actually
The Midway games had the best select screens for sure. The colour, the unique backgrounds, the different character poses, the music, the backgrounds. We don't even get unique select screen music anymore its just the same menu theme.
I always thought as a kid MK4 was a horror game going to this local arcade I had. The sound of when you throw a head and the gameover scene was the stuff of nightmares I tell ya...😅
I thought I was the only one 😭 I remember when I was little, I stayed at a hotel and back then they used to have game consoles where you can play demos, I played mk4 out of curiosity and ofc I was piss poor at it, and when it showed the game over screen and my character falling down and being stabbed by the spikes it kept me up all night😂😅
@@supersmashlover926 Lmao Same! I remember exactly how the kid me went from having a blast at mini golf then witnessing the terror of MK4’s end credit screen with the character free falling down that pit to their death.. shxt was scary as hell 😂
I’m sorry but those 3D mortal kombat games hold a special place in my memories. Character designs looked elite, the music, the game modes like chess, the story, being able to launch someone into another part of the stage or into a fatal part. Games were too ahead of their time
MK 1992: Oriental Tournament MK2: Oriental Festival MK3/UMK3/MKT: End of the world MK4: Creepy invasion MKDA: New era and research MKD: Dark world and atmosphere MKA: Battle Royale MK/DC: Good vs Evil MK9: Army's Revolution MKX: The end is coming MK11: Final Countdown MK1: Back to 1992
I started with MK 3 Ultimate SNES version back then but didn´t plyed every single game after that. Also played "Deadly Alliance, Deception & Armageddon" wich all three are very sick titles. ^^
Just the first 7 games for me. After that the only thing I like is the faster gameplay, that's it. My favorite will always be MK2, pure nostalgia and in my opinion the true MK essence.
My favorite style is X and 1 (the new one) because for some reason I see characters easier being in a horizontal format, like reading a book left to right, rather than having to look all the way down vertical so it makes it easier to see to me. Plus it gives room to show animated characters and such. I've also only played X and 11 since I've only played the modern ones
There's something about that 1992 Mortal Kombat game screen music and voice. Nostalgic at an all-time high. Tekken fans remember this fact "Mortal Kombat is the 🐐of fighting games." 😤.
What it’s like playing tekken. Juggle combo, go to the dmv, get some food on the way back, get home, still in a juggle combo. DOA is a better 3d fighter
MKA's impressive roster is never gonna be topped, is it? Anyway, I like the original MK announcer best of all. I think the rest were overdoing it a bit, in trying to sound badass.
All I want is Steve Ritchies character select voice from Mortal Kombat Trilogy as a klassic voice pack for when you select OG characters in MK1. NRS sleeping on the idea though.
My earliest literal memory was seeing my brother and cousins playing mortal kombat 1 & 2. I’ve been playing MK, Street fighter and Tekken since like 5/6 yrs old.
I seen a Mortal Kombat arcade when i was a kid at a corner store and it scared the hell at of me. Never played it at all but my 1st Mortal Kombat i ever played was 4.
Same I used to play to play mk3 backed when apple used to have it on the apple store so I got to somewhat experience that 90’s feeling growing up as an iPad kid
Mk Deadly Alliance gave stats that dont carry over. Thinking how Raiden is 7ft tall and Jax being 6'8" and 350 lbs. Makes me wonder how big Shao Kahn is...
I’m a be honest when i say i love Mk1’s character select screen when they start entering the scene. Then after picking your characters they clash elbows or weapons, then after picking a stage either one attacks first and the fight starts on the stage.
MK X - the game with better design/style, music and atmosphere in series, it game release 8 years ago, but look like new game. It power of good design.
I know that armageddon characters where simplified but Having a roster like armageddon and then mk 1 being fckng $69.99 for not even the half of characters and even charging for extra characters is just stupid, damn even armageddon had the kharacter kreation, they don't even try now
Just pre-ordering digital games is stupid of its own. There's unlimited supply of digital copies, and there's no reason, not even an excuse to pay extra 20$+ for a character or a feature. Pre-ordering still exists because of idiots throwing cash left and right, regardless how expensive a game is, let alone a digital copy which at any moment be legally taken down from store and your own library without refunds
My first MK was the first one and on floppy Disk for the Amiga..i am old ha..i remember trying to freeze someone as sub zero to finish him and it pulled the guys head off so i hid under my desk for awhile 😅
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance was my absolute favorite! I felt like it was slept on. Soundtrack was fire, and I absolutely loved doing the konquest’s! And can’t forget Adema’s ‘Immortal’ song!
I've noticed that Deception, Unchained and MK9 onwards have 1P's cursor start on Scorpion and 2P's cursor start on Sub-Zero. Can't they start on Noob Saibot (1P) and Rain (2P) instead? At least these are beginner-friendly ninjas. Also, it's a shame Noob Saibot didn't make it to Mortal Kombat 1. I just hope future games finally have the cursors start on players other than Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
@@rafaelpbperezbello2443 Even so, they aren't the main face anyways. Sure Scorpion and Sub-Zero are popular among the MK fans, but I grew up with Noob Saibot and Rain considering their "noob-friendly" status. Like my idea of Noob Saibot and Rain being selected first for 1P and 2P respectively, I was expecting something along the lines of "evil vs. good". The actual villain and hero of the Mortal Kombat series as a whole is Shang Tsung and Liu Kang. If Noob and Rain won't work, then Shang Tsung (1P) and Liu Kang (2P) can work.
@@NaughtiusMaximmus I always thought it's Liu Kang, considering his involvement with the Main Story, and with one of his Animalities resembling The Dragon Logo found in many Mortal Kombat games since II.
Its still Jameson price doing the announcer in MK1 but i do prefer how they tuned him in MK9 and X better. He sounded to robotic in 11 so atleast in 1 it sounds more natural but 9 did it the best, natural but deeper and more menacing sounding then in 1.
После этого видео начинаешь понимать почему в Комео мк 1 добавили новую джанет кейдж, ибо по сути больше некого добавлять из старичков прошлого (интересных старичков)
MK1 till MKTrilogy was my Childhood! After that MK died for me a long time since MKX, because i didn't liked the 3D-Style of the Charakters. I always wished they turn back to the real motion captured style.
