I would guess that Quan Chi would’ve recruited Onaga for Shinnok. Given what Onaga is capable of, Shinnok having Onaga as a slave as well as Onaga’s unstoppable undead army would be pretty tough to beat.

Whats worse is that when raiden sends the visions back to his past self in mk9, new timeline raiden gets the visions with quan chi now being in the mk tourment, somehow with the tattoos he wouldnt get till deadly alliance. It makes no goddamn sense for him to have them at all in the new timeline

Onaga still technically exists in the rebooted timeline, as evidenced by Kung Lao's slightly non-kanon ladder ending, whereby he avenges his ancestor's death & subsequently ensures Earthrealm's victory by defeating Goro, Shang Tsung & Shao Khan. Then, a brief interim period of uneasy peace occurs following Shao Khan's defeat, only for Onaga to show up, but as he was the new Keeper of Time, Kung Lao slew the Dragon King himself, thus prematurely ending the events that would've otherwise led to a remake of Deception & ultimately a new Armageddon. However, as I said, Kung Lao's MK11 ladder ending was slightly non-kanon, because although he wasn't the one to be the ultimate victor (especially since he himself ends up killed across both sets of timelines, since in the Original Trilogy, he's purportedly killed by Shao Khan himself after joining Earthrealm's defenders in MK3, in MK9's retelling of the first 3 games, he's killed during the 2nd Tournament set in Outworld after defeating the Deadly Alliance when Shao Khan snuck up behind him as he was boasting & snapped his neck, and in MK Aftermath, he existed twice over as an undead revenant loyal to whomever rules the NetherRealm meanwhile his MK9 counterpart temporarily saved from death at Shao Khan's hands to serve the Titan Kronika also survived until the final battle, during which he's tossed into the endless Sea of Blood ironically by the revived Shao Khan, however since what happens to the past iteration also harms their undead revenants as well, one would suspect Kung Lao falling forever in the Sea of Blood would also permanently immobilize his undead revenant form, too), Fire God Liu Kang would do him a solid by resetting time so far back that the next game supposedly begins in the time period of Kung Lao's ancestor, The Great Kung Lao, whom Fire God Liu Kang has selected as Earthrealm's chosen MK Champion. With Fire God Liu Kang sculpting the Sands of Time, who's to say if The Great Kung Lao still loses to the Shokan Prince Goro & traitorous Earthrealm defector Shang Tsung ever learns the ability to consume souls from Outworld Emperor Shao Khan teaching him dark magic that promotes him to Outworld's handpicked MK Champion? If The Great Kung Lao never loses to Goro & Shang Tsung never learns how to consume the souls of his vanquished enemies, then there would be little reason for the modern Kung Lao to exist at all, since he was created, much like Liu Kang himself was, to avenge the death of The Great Kung Lao & to save Earthrealm from ever merging with Outworld like many of the other realms Shao Khan's overtaken, such as Edenia, the home of Liu Kang's would-be girlfriend, Princess Kitana. Despite all of the favoritism Fire God Liu Kang may place in Earthrealm's defending Champion, a revived Quan Chi would still be plotting on the sidelines nonetheless, no doubt biding his time to resurrect the Fallen Elder God Shinnok, because Keeper of Time or not, Fire God Liu Kang is powerless to stop the kanonical events that birthed the Mortal Kombat tournament from happening, because if he did, he would accidentally erase all klassic Kombatants (himself, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, Bi-Han [OG Sub-Zero & eventual Noob Saibot] and Kuai Lang [2nd Sub-Zero], Kano, Reptile, Jackson "Jax" Briggs, modern Kung Lao, Kabal, Kurtis Stryker, Cyrax, Sketor, Ermac, Rain, etc.) & their eventual next generation kin (Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Kung Jin, Takeda Takahashi, etc.) from history due to the twisted nature of time travel affecting parallel dimensions if certain significant events in the mainline kontinuity are drastically altered.

Very much so, he was responsible for so many plots nobody even realized.

He’s really impactful but…Shang won 9 MK tournaments. And if we take aftermath as cannon (even disregarding the ending) Shang is pretty damn competent and even fairly successful

..because the writers bullshit his way to success

@@WhiteDarkness3113 Yes, they were. They got clapped by Kung Lao before Shao Khan snapped his neck in MK9. Ultimately, had they lasted, they would've turned on each other anyway, since neither would accept yielding to the other.

@@GamerThumbTV NRS needs to stop with their terrible retcons(sindel)and plot holes,in the new timeline Both mk9 and mk11 suggest that mk mythologies still happens prior to both games,Bi han still fought fujin at the sky temple and still helped give quan chi shinnok's amulet,and raiden implies bi han beat both shinnok and quan chi,so Quan chi in mk9 is seen with shinnok's amulet,so in mkx shinnok should've had the fake one like in the old timeline

Yea they did a little retcon with the storyline in MK11 which basically boils down to "Quan Chi is an enormous liar" lol.

According to a character interaction between Baraka and Sheeva in MK11, Onaga returned in the body of Goro and almost destroyed Outworld after MKX. All off screen lol.

Basically all boils down to Quan Chi lying about the whole thing. In the original universe she was definitely good. I like to think that Raiden messing with the timeline caused ripples that made this new Sindel "evil."

That's made up fan nonsense. None of that happens in any ending. Even in Taven's ending they specifically mention an unforseen outcome happened and "the quest did nothing to resolve the instability of the realms."

There was actually a good amount of comics in the 90s and Mortal Kombat X got a full series made by DC. So it's had some short spurts of comics over time.

They can switch sides. Shang Tsung was originally an Earth Realmer and betrayed Earth Realm for Outworld. So were Kano and Scorpion originally. This is shown extensively in MK9. In Mythologies Shang Tsung invited Sub-Zero to the tournament. The contract on Shang Tsung's life was agreed on before that so he used the invitation as an assassination attempt.

Interesting theory, however the one thing that would need to be explained is why Liu Kang isn't a god.

I agree with what you say, it was just a thought otherwise Liu Kang wouldn't be in this movie... maybe Liu Kang (god) is a titan like chronika (pardon the pun) who doesn't show up... if anything I think we would have to wait for a new MK storyline to surface

He didn't need Quan Chi to remain, Noob was his own independent entity. Actually my most recent MK video covers Noob Saibot's entire history. You should check it out.

He was actually on a list of leaked possible DLC characters so who knows. I take that with a grain of salt though.
