1:45 I definitely agree with what Bo Rai Cho said here, this supports my belief that Raiden never meant to kill Liu Kang at the end of MK9. It was actually Liu Kang’s own mistrust towards Raiden that caused his death in the first place, but Liu Kang failed to see that due to Quan Chi’s curse clouding his mind and amplifying his negative feelings. All of that, and Liu Kang thinking of the visions Raiden received as fairy tales, he unwittingly got himself killed. Raiden was actually trying to tell Liu Kang to hold off for a moment until Shao Kahn started merging Earthrealm and Outworld, so that the Elder Gods could take action and punish the mad emperor for violating the rules of Mortal Kombat.
