This game is really good. I just started playing it. I have MK9, XL , 11 complete and Injustice 1 and 2 both complete. MK9 hasn't aged well imo. The art style is off and the combat is too old school MK. I just started MK XL. I love it. Started off with Scorpion, he's the default beginner character, then I moved on to Reptile, I thought he was good. Then I tried Triborg Smoke, purely because I like smoke and wanted to play as him. He blew me away. He's so good. Even his normal punches and kicks close the distance. Thing I love about this game from my early impressions, you can dictate the rhythm. So when up close, doing various normal punches and kicks without using them as a combo, but in succession, kind of overwhelms the opponent sometimes. I also like how you can go into Brutalities and X-Ray finishes before the Finisher screen. Also early impressions, Tremor is a combo bastard, he spams his specials a little too much. I was trying an endless tower, and he just shut me down. Blocking my moves, heavy combos... Crystal shit all over the screen... I put off playing this game because I was never a fan of MKs press a button to block and it's Kombat system. But I was wrong. MKX's really fun and very satisfying. In my opinion I think it's better than SF4.
