Damn, I love the fact that Solomon literally has skills that give him in-game material benefits for finding lore and interacting with the story. Perfect for those of us who like going full archaeologist mode on our Souls-likes.

Also his durability is good and he has great resolve bonuses. His character has a direct relation to the crow as well with unique dialog. He's a lore machine.

Just started and Maaaaan....the first map is big...I dunno where to go....what to do...what items to eat.....I got my ass beat a few times....oh the humanity....but dammit I love it so far...this is the souls like game I need to full fill my ds thirst. It's nice to have a soulslike that isn't so long and huge and complex. Like, the 3 Dark Souls games are amazing but they take a LOOONG time to see everything and explore everything. Elden Ring is even worse in that respect because it's an open world, so prepare to play 300 hours just to get a basic grip on the game. Sometimes, you just want a simpler soulslike, having that amazing kind of combat that soulslike games have, but the world it's in is just a lot simpler, or more linear, or shorter. It's nice. Like I really love Lies of P because it simplifies the whole world exploring aspect a lot because it just tells you where you need to go to talk to people to continue quests and stuff like that, but it keeps the amazing combat that's really the main reason we all love soulslike games.

Didnt know about this game until like 10 minutes ago! How!? I played and beat dark souls 3 a couple weeks ago, im currently playing DS remaster (with the help of cowboys guide) and god damn I AM OBSESSED with these games. I keep watching videos about the lore and so much Souls content. Im legitimately obsessed and i love and miss this feeling. Havent felt this into a game series since I was a kid (i recently turned 30). Thanks for the great content, Cowboy - a new souls fan

I'm in the same position as you were 3 years ago when you made your comment. I'm obsessed with soulslike games now, after getting into Bloodborne which was the first one I really finally got hooked on after I tried dark souls 1 a few years ago and gave up relatively quickly. Now I'm obsessed with these games, and cowboy's walkthroughs help tremendously with that. But now I'm not so terrified of playing these games anymore and so I'm using the walkthroughs less and less to be honest, because it's fun just walking into the unknown and facing whatever is there.

I just started playing this, and absolutely love it, it’s unlike any other game I’ve ever played. I’m a casual gamer who plays shooters on ‘normal’ and man this is difficult in comparison but strangely addictive. I love how the game really makes exploring about decision making with high stakes. It’s my first ‘soulslike’ experience and I am kind of glad, feels like a good gateway into this kind of game, AND I got the whole FromSoft library of games to look forward once I beat this. I really hope they make a sequel to this little gem of a game

This shit isn't fun. It's not worth it, no one cares about the rite of passage element, and it's not stimulating in the least to get killed in 3 hits for 5 hours. NO ONE ELSE is making that kind of time commitment without a payoff of some kind. Its slow, non-responsive, and difficult isn't the word - frustratingly futile is more like it.

I don't get how people can consider this game short. Took me like 25 hours just to make it through the first two areas and part way into the 3rd and never finished the game on my first playthrough because I had it on switch. Just restarted it again on my PS5 though and it seems a little easier. People saying this game is only like 12 hours though... Nah. They must have literally just ran past every enemy in the game

Glad to see you doing a walkthrough for this. I played along with you during DS1, DS2 & Bloodborne great job! This game needs a map first of all lol, it's a little repetitive, idk I guess I want it to be Dark Souls lol. You found the bat tree! I wandered around and found a cave, a big spider came out of a book and I had to fight Hadern or Haden again and got a long spear type of weapon.

The Cave is the one with the Bose Guy in when you get to the Masked Lady and stuff or the "Safe House" its across from there were all the traps are laid out in front of it and you can get a Gourd on the right as your about to enter.... That is the one that showed the cave they don't show enemies though that would be a lot better to and helpful.
