That shirt Roger is wearing is from a label that Roger owns and a band, Primitive Brutality, that he started in 1989. That band had the brutal sound Mortician, Malignancy, and many other bands have that is known today. And they recorded music a year before Suffocation. All hail Roger, the godfather of brutal death metal!
I don't think the H flat tuning is working for them. It's a little too farty for me. My band just tuned down to C# (D flat). Carcass heavy, but not flatulent.
