I remember buying this at Fat Beats when they used to be in the Village/ NYC.I had NEVER heard of Mos Def or this track, but I liked his MC name and just the way he looked on the record cover. Plus my father ALWAYS used to say " what" and " huh".My mom( R.I.P) used to tell him " If you can huh you can hear" ...lol. So I knew I had to cop this and I was not disappointed, to this day Mos Def is one of my favorite MC's of all time and I've been listening to rap since 1978.

I straight converted my coworker from a Jay Z fan to an underground junkie off this one song. Saw him months later like "yo you cop that new Jay Z?" He was like "Forget Jay Z, since you put me to that Mos Def, that's all I been on!"
