Moscow Nights (Le temps du muguet) Red Army Choir 1958 in Paris from the film "Tout le monde n'a pas eu la chance d'avoir des parents communistes" (Not Everybodys Lucky Enough to Have Had Communist Parents).
Russian American here let me give a back story. This song became a hit by a fluke. It was made for a movie, which was a dud. However, Moscow Orchestra played it and Stalin liked it. He asked them for a copy of it. Here is the translation in English. t even a whisper is to be heard in the garden, Everything has calmed down until dawn. If you only knew how dear they are to me, The evenings near Moscow! The river is moving and (sometimes) not, All made of the moons silver. A song sounds and is not to be heard In those quiet evenings. Why do you, darling, look at me from the side, Bending your head so low? It is not easy to tell All the things that are in my heart. And dawn is getting more and more visible. So, please, be so kind: You, also, don't forget These summer evenings near Moscow.
For me it's inspirational because my country, Pakistan, was a modern country in 1950s and liked by locals & foreigners alike. This song is an inspiration because it takes me to those times that I never got to experience but get the feeling of. Although I am aware this was produced in 1993. But lovely regardless. The world was also a much more quiet and peaceful place.

Well they aren't. In fact they are people with noble heart! I meet many communists in my life and I had the greatest discussions about life and other stuff about existence. Hat off for them!
The Alexandrov Choir had the old closed collar uniforms until the 1969 series were introduced despite any previous changes with open collar uniforms in the rest of the army.
@Communismcomrade It's 1958 and it's only for a comedy film. The uniform isn't important. This movie is a witness of a certain part of the french society for which USSR and communism was the way to follow.
at this moment, in the actual world, i would say that you're right.. but that's not a reason to stop trying making a better world, where the people would be conscious, and parents would teach to their children, to create and share to the world, where the money is not the most important thing, where the people can take care of themselves, not following a leader, but following their common sence, trying to not to bother other people, trying to live with dignity as every living creature deserves.
Tout le monde n'a pas eu la chance d'avoir des parents communistes" (Not Everybodys Lucky Enough to Have Had Communist Parents). (It's in the video description.)
We cant win in love,we cant be winner like USA,any other nations dont want be soviet. But we love Cccp.We love Stalin. We proud Stalingrad. We love our country and our not coloured heros. My english bad but you understood i think.
I knew there would be comments about communism and not about the beautiful music. It's not like USA and Britain are much better. So just listen to the music and enjoy it
I love this song, winter is coming, the nights get shorter, and a vodka glass on my balcony watching my city at night is simply beautifull. They song really represents the feel of a city's beauty
Spec naz Hah, satellite pictures, thousands of first-hand witnesses, social media posts etc... Come on, the evidence are plenty, denying them all just indicates one is really prone to anything governments tell them. But hey, let's just enjoy the music.
***** And captured Russian troops admitting they are Russians, having Russian flags in their gear and movement of Russian troops to Ukraine seen in satellite pictures? Seriously now, this is like arguing whether earth is round or flat.

Anarchism and communism may be successful on a small scale, but mankind is what it is and the truth is that a rather large society without rules or any form of leadership is doomed to succomb because of these despicable aspects of the human mind. Though I used to be a communist, I am down to earth when it comes to this subject nowadays. Some would say this is a pessimist view of things, nonetheless it sounds like a harsh but undeniable truth to me.
Il not a pro communist at all but I have to admit that the Red Army Choir is on my favorite top 3. The voices, the music, everything is there and bring you back to somewhere you’re not and doesn’t exist anymore, USSR.
Before i saw this video is watched the clip of leonid kharitonov withe the song of the volga boat men. Now the guy in this clip sounds like a little girl singing a childrens song. what a contrast.
@captainbackflash Well, for one thing Moscow Nights is a song about a beautiful evening in Moscow, so the song has all the reason to be brooding (there's love content in it, too). So it goes without saying that this song is not supposed to be sung like the Volga Boatmen's Song.. It HAS to be different. And the guy you see here is an actor. The real soloist's name is Ivan Bukreev (who sang a duet with Kharitonov, btw). The recording itself dates back to around the same time as this movie is set.
This is not Kharitonov singing...just listen to his voice in the other numerous recordings available on RU-vid and you'll knwo in an instant that it's not the same singer.
Thomas Jefferson said "The gov't which governs least governs best." Such a definition would then invite the retort of the anarchist, "Let us then have no gov't at all." As people will commit every kind of crime against one another even w/ a gov't, we obviously can't go w/o some kind of gov't to at least punish the violent. It'd then follow that the best state is one that only does what is necessary to maintain law & order & preserve basic liberty. I'd also say preserve natual human society.
Well did you see some movies from Hollywood ? You have the same insane propaganda but in the capitalist side :). It's very funny to compare communist and capitalist propaganda :)
First of all, do stop making wild guesses because, contrary to your own ego, you're not omniscient, sorry. Secondly, you came forth with the statement that the noun capitalist was coined by marxists, thus, the burden of proof, my friend, rests solely on your shoulders. I have to prove nothing because I made no claims over the origin of this word. Thirdly, you use the phrase "mentally limited" : please link me to the scientific study that shows a correlation between mental handicap and marxism
0:01= Dilma Roussef? Btw, blue sharovari??? Only the KGB used blue sharovari. And this hat was not used with this uniform, it was used during the 60's or 70's. The material used for this uniform clearly is not Soviet. But it seems to be a good movie, tho.
How do you intend to turn a world populated by several billions of such men, born into and molded by individualism, consumerism, or racism, religious extremism, people who can't even tolerate differences within their community, most of whom being poor and having known nothing but violence, into this glorious, bright and exalted utopia of yours ? How do you intend to put and end to the ancestral human tendencies to selfishness, hatred and arrogance ?
being honest that's not our case in southamerica, where people everyday try to survive, and the numbers are usually lying cause about the 5% of the people owns 80% of the things of the country, and a most people doesn't have a career, and their sons and daughters are the first generation with the chance to get a university career, where the people (most of them labor man) pay taxes to have unversities, where most of their sons can't study there... here health, and education are just a bussiness
Problem is: Not every american capitalist whom was religiously tolerant knows about what happened in 1857- The Mountain Meadow Massacre. Look it up. Gain some culture and listen to this wonderful music without bringing up a nations atrocities. Every nation has done something horrible or wrong. However its not so much the nation as it is the bad men leading it.
not if they have learned enough, at this age people have a different thought if you compare with other ages, so the people know if something is good or bad, you don't need a leader, when you see something to do the right thing if it's needed
