After God appoints Moses to confront Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of slavery, they come to Mount Sinai, where God invites them to become “a kingdom of priests.” But things do not go as planned for the Israelites. In this video, we explore the beginning of the failed priesthood and the need for the ultimate royal priest, who will intercede on behalf of his people and offer his life for the failures of others.

It’s cool from the surface but the creator/s of this believe that Hell is just a place on Earth and that a loving God would not send people to an eternal Hell outside of the Earth as The Bible clearly says… Not to mention the “we are little gods/creators” new age mentality they have throughout their videos.

In Exodus 32, the author poses a juxtaposition for readers. Priests are to fulfill the role of demonstrating God’s own beauty and glory in a micro-Eden. But Israel’s priesthood is full of compromise (Exodus 32-34, Leviticus 10, 1 Samuel 1-4) and has been from the start (Exodus 3-4, 5-11). After the Israelites rebel against Yahweh, Moses climatically offers his own life in the place of the sinful people, and he calls this an act of “atonement.” (Heb. kipper / כפר), a covering for the sin of the people (Exodus 32:31-32). This scene is crucial because we see Moses doing what the appointed high priest is supposed to do in the tabernacle. Although the priesthood of Aaron is compromised and idolatrous from the beginning, here we see Moses providing the true and ultimate portrait of the priestly role-interceding on behalf of a rebellious people. But Moses does so to an even greater degree by offering his own life in place of the Israelites. Later on in the text, Moses encounters the glory of God, and his unveiled face is described as “shining” and “radiant,” emitting beams of light (qaran, קֶ֫רֶן) (Exodus 34:29). As Moses shines, intercedes on behalf of the people, and offers his life for theirs, we get a glimpse of Moses being what God called him to be: a shining priestly intercessor. Why did you add to scripture and say that Adam and Eve are priests please quote a scripture that says that! Priests are for when people know good and evil as said later after tempted by satan Genesis 3:5 For God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Genesis 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from from where he was taken. As a PRIEST is for judgement 2 Chronicles 19:8 Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem. As said Hebrews 5:13 For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Therefore a quote the scripture when you talk next time as a priest is for judgment Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

Adam and Eve was not priests they didn't even know good and evil yet Did you know priests are to judge between the Good and evil? Deuteronomy 17:9 And you shall come to the priests the Levites, and to the judge that shall be in those days, and inquire; and they shall show you the sentence of judgment: Deuteronomy 17:10 And you shall do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall show you; and you shall observe to do according to all that they inform you: Deuteronomy 17:11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do: you shall not decline from the sentence which they shall show you, to the right hand, nor to the left. The word is not even used into Genesis 14 Strong's h3548 - Lexical: כֹּהֵן - Transliteration: kohen - Part of Speech: Noun Masculine - Phonetic Spelling: ko-hane' - Definition: priest. - Origin: Active participle of kahan; literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman). - Usage: chief ruler, X own, priest, prince, principal officer. - Translated as (count): the priest (358), the priests (155), of the priests (39), and the priests (25), priest (21), priests (16), of the priest (15), a priest (10), to the priests (10), for the priests (9), to the priest (8), And the priest (7), the priests' (4), among the priests (3), for the priest (3), Her priests (3), of priests (3), our priests (3), Priestly (3), and a priest (2), And her priests (2), and his priests (2), and priests (2), and the with priests (2), but the priests (2), from the priest (2), his priests (2), of a priest (2), of his own hand (2), Their priests (2), Your priests (2), a chief minister (1), Against its priests (1), among His priests (1), and Our priests (1), And priest (1), and their priests (1), and with the priests (1), as priest (1), belonging to the priests (1), But the priest (1), chief ministers (1), for priests (1), like priest (1), My priests (1), Now the priest (1), O priests (1), of her priests (1), of priest (1), priests for (1), princes (1), So the priest (1), So the priests (1), so with the priest (1), than the priests (1), that priest (1), the among priests (1), the priest's (1), the with priests (1), who becomes priest (1), with his priests (1), you priests (1).

@@TheLionFarm We must remember that the role of priests are to be God's image and representative in creation, which is how they are defined in the video of the "Royal Priests of Eden". The specific duties of His priests changed after sin because the way God related to humanity was changed after humanity was covered in sin. Yes the Levitical priesthood required atonement and rituals for sin once sin entered the world, so yes the Levitical priesthood were required to do this as part of their roles as priests. Before sin entered the world, there was no need for this, but God still had humans acting as His image and continuing His work throughout the world as His representative, ruling priests. This is the same duty that the Levitical priests had, only after sin God's Holy representation required judgement and atonement for sin, where as before sin this would not be necessary because there was no sin to judge or atone for. The role that humanity has as God's ruling representatives and image in creation still exists in the priesthood both before and after the fall of humanity.

It does however open up the opportunity for non-Christians to attack us. By this I mean the rather hateful people who throw insults right out the starting gate but I find it to be an enlightening challenge by asking God to give me patience and his wisdom and I usually find that by being calm and carefully selective with my words doing my best to respect them these people usually give up after the third or fourth reply. Sometimes they are respectful but we should always be prepared with peace just in case. I do believe I make a small difference in these people though or rather God does through me. My advice is if you encounter people like this, the first thing you do is ask God for strength and peace, second don’t downvote their comments no matter what for that will be conceived as an attack against them. Third, always be mindful of your response and respectful of the other party regardless of how they treat you. If you’re unsure of a reply you’re about to send ask God if it is right and He will tell you what needs to be said. Hope this helps and may God bless you all!

@@emilymenjivar6138 I like to refer to Christianity as the lonely religion because even though I know I’m never alone as Christ dwells in my heart I often feel alone in the world as if I’m the only Christian. That feeling when you are at the mall and you think you walk into a JC penny just to realize you actually walked into a Victoria’s Secret. That feeling like you don’t belong in the place you find yourself in. Anyone else get that feeling sometimes when at work or on the bus or perhaps just hanging out with friends? I do believe it is good for us to be in those situations as it is an opportunity to teach his word either through our words or actions but I can’t help but ask God from time to time “ Lord is this really where you want me to be?”. He has as of yet to reply no and I trust no matter where he sends me I will be protected and he will do many great things. Huh while I’m writing this I’m starting to understand Jonah’s perspective a bit more.

@@godismyjudge4964 "All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, *admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.* People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." We will feel like strangers because we are not of this world, if we are to be disciples of Jesus. Our hope is in the future when Jesus will return to make all things new. I have felt similar to the way you have felt, where I feel like I don't belong in pretty much any group of people. We are still in a broken world where there are broken relationships between humans. We thirst for righteousness, which is best translated as "right relationship", where everyone will be able to be fully themselves with God and with each other and not feel ashamed. I hope this helps you better understand why you feel this way.

It is. I once knew a very kind atheist Jew who shared with me that according to the their commentaries, Noah was despised by both Abraham and Moses for not interceding with God's anger as they both have done (with Sodom/Gomorrah and Israel at Sinai, respectively.) And the rabbinic commentators draw out a moral that because of his blamelessness - rightfully so perhaps but still a self-righteous character - Noah was unable to recognize that other human beings, sinful as they are are still made from God's image. He never protested or interceded. Abraham and Moses knew better. I'm not sure to believe it but it sure is a fascinating moral.

I did the same thing. A tremendous work of art to show the sheer severity of the situation at hand, that his people were a minute before midnight to be damned by God and abandoned. One cannot imagine the sense of responsibility that Moses had to have felt to be in the presence of God, left with no other option than to defend your own disobedient people even if it meant sacrificing your own life. We read the passages, but we don’t understand those human feelings. We can’t comprehend the conviction, the faith. There’s a reason why Jesus spoke on behalf of the law, he had to show that he was the Messiah, and that he would be sacrificed to fulfill the scripture. It’s incredible.

This channel is perfect for newcomers who are mildly interested and for Christians looking to bolster their study of the word. Keep up the wonderful work! God bless all of you in the Bible project and all those who watch your videos!

Great as always! I love reminding myself of these stories. It's such a monumental story that God wrote in real time, all leading to Jesus to make sense of him so we can have faith and live.

how would you explain numbers 15:32-36, where a man was stoned for picking sticks on sabbath, but it was didactic and jesus ordered his disciples to pick grain on the sabbath.

Sadly it showed through the act and murder of this man how God sees sin, but with our Lord things change a lot, He is mercyful since they, according to Him, weren't committing sin it was just because the tradition of man, the "man" of God, installed these traditions and some more that if you didn't clean your hands you couldn't eat but it had nothing to do with life, Jesus cleans your food before you eat, be thankful and Jesus will take care of the rest, so when the disciples took grain they were free to do so, Jesus said I'm the lord of the Sabbath and they are my disciples, "so if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed" when you are free your spirit knows the truth and you behave properly, because the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know in order to fulfill God's plan

I guess because Jesus was sent to become the sacrifice for us, so that we no longer lived under the law. With Jesus we live and are saved by grace and not the commandments of the old testaments. God no longer judges you by works. God judges you by your heart.

Messiah didn’t Order them to pick grain first of all, they picked it because they were Hungry not for profit, 2. I’m guessing the Reason this man was stoned because he was gonna do something unlawful with the sticks, they weren’t allowed to kindle a fire on the Rest day at that certain err in time, and they wasn’t supposed to be working to make a profit because why would you be randomly picking up sticks for no reason unless you’re gonna use them for something later? Messiah is Lord over the Shabbat because He’s God yet he kept the Shabbat, not according to Legalism but according to God, + The Priest didn’t stop work on the Shabbat they Offered DAILY meaning every single day so it is Lawful to do good on the Shabbat, He also gave the example of David, so please read context of both Passages.

The verses immediately before this discuss the difference between willful and accidental sins. Accidental stuff should be forgiven, but willful disobedience had the death penalty. The story was probably added as an example. This guy did not forget about the Sabbath, he was showing that he did not care about God.

4:02 wait what? Wasn't Moses one of the most revered priest in the Bible? Or regarded as one of the greatest or holiest of God, among mankind, though he still couldn't hold a candle to Jesus, the son of God who's the only one that's truly holy? If he's not the royal priest God decreed and wanted, then who is? Is it Jesus? Or has that royal priest not yet come to be?
